SW-MOTECH Bags-Connection QUICK-LOCK Type 125 EVO Tankbag Bottom Ring is used in conjunction with SW-MOTECH Bags-Connection Quick-Lock EVO tankbags.
The SW-MOTECH QUICK-LOCK tankbag system enables a tankbag to be mounted or removed easily without the use of straps or magnets that may damage your motorcycle's finish. The system includes the tankbag, upper tankring and a separately available tankring that is designed to be installed onto the motorcycle. Once the system is assembled, the tankbag can be snapped securely into place or removed by pulling a release lanyard at the front of the tankbag.
Tankrings are motorcycle specific, so be sure to visit our SW-MOTECH Bags-Connection Tankring Application Chart to determine the correct tankring for your motorcycle prior to placing your order.

When choosing a brand, consider that the SW-Motech uses a cable release that you reach with your finger under the bag. Other brands use a twist-off release. Both types work fine.
When installing, I found out my tankring bolts weren't all the same length and width. So when you remove one bolt, match it to one that's long enough to fit through the quicklock. When you attach the quicklock, thread all the bolts part way in. Then gently tighten them up with the supplied allen wrench. If the bolt is too long, it will hit the backstop and could strip the threads, so be careful. (Posted on 10/21/14)
