Great wind protection, solid build and they look great! Install was easy if you follow the directions and torque the bolts in the correct order. (Posted on 12/3/15)

After extensive research I bought these guards to reduce the cold wind of winter months. Many reviews warned of the time it took to install. Although installation did take a while as others experienced, the installation was rather smooth. The right guard is a tight fit but is installed just where it needs to be. In the end they look like an OEM part and function perfectly. Highly recommended for any bike! (Posted on 12/1/15)

Barkbusters heated grips and Kako all work very well. (Posted on 11/3/15)

I kit was very well laid out and the instructions easy to understand. The hardest part was getting the old vibration dampners out of my handlebars so I could install the barkbuster ones. Fit and finish excellent and they really cover the tops of my hands well. An excellent purchase for my Honda CB 500 X! (Posted on 8/29/15)

These are significantly sturdier than the cheapo V-strom guards I had on my Gladius. I was on the fence about spending this much cash on handguards, but after seeing how solid they are, I have no regrets. I was able to use the OEM handlebar internals and the bolt just gets enough thread in there to work. Only downer at the moment is I can't go quite lock-to-lock with a MRA Vario touring screen on. It's close, but does smack the shield. (Posted on 6/7/15)

I purchased these hand guards when my fingers started going numb on my commute each day. I bought a pair of Icon Patrol gloves with liners which worked well, but the wind chill was still getting to me after about 20 minutes of riding at an average of 30 mph at anything below 50F.

These guards have excellent coverage, I was a bit concerned that they would direct air at my body, but this does not seem to be the case. My fingers still get cold, but it takes longer, and in all fairness, I am wearing a Joe Rocket Phoenix Jacket with the WP liner and a Thermal layer, but my core is still getting pretty cold so a lot of it is reduced circulation. I believe I am going to add heated grips in the next few weeks to see if that will help any. I will add that I have noticed a huge improvement while using my Icon 29er mesh gloves. I can wear these in the 60's without issue now which is wonderful as they are a lighter glove with much more feel than my other gloves.

Installation was very straight forward with the exception of the l shaped bar that goes from the backbone to the handle bar. (2013 Vstrom 650) I was getting very frustrated with the bracket because the head of one of the bolts is in an awkward place. The brake line connector fits right into the crook of the L bracket, and is directly over the head of one of the bolts. It didn't want to go at first and I tried all kinds of things like mounting it upside down and what not until I realized that I could just loosen the whole brake assembly, tighten the bolts and then put the brake back where it needs to go, there was plenty of room after the bolt was tightened. I had no issues on the clutch side.

Also, the SW-Motech Center stand made leveling the handgaurds much easier. (Posted on 12/2/14)

I added these on a 2014 Suz DL650 Adventure. The installation instructions were excellent. The metalwork and fit up was very good. The only problem is the Storm plastics. They don't fit up tight. One screw on one side and a plastic clamp over the bar on the other side. I would recommend these bars, but with different plastics. (Posted on 11/11/14)

I put these on to protect my levers all the time and add the Storm cover to keep my hands warmer in winter. I had an off road incident, the Barkbusters took a hit with no damage to them or the 650 V Strom. Pay special attention to pictures of how they mount. The little elbows from the handle bar brackets and the lever protector are not marked left or right and there are several ways to put them on wrong. (Posted on 10/30/14)

A little tricky to fit on 2014 VStrom 650. Perfect coverage. Peter A from support chatted with me and helped with both before purchase and after when I ran into trouble installing. Shipping was super quick! All around awesome experience. (Posted on 10/21/14)

A great addition to my 500X! Received them in a timely manner and installed them that weekend. They came with adequate instructions and though not difficult to install, took a little while. Most of the work was removing the OEM bar weights. I have factory heated grips and the pad they use covers up the little hole you need to depress on the clutch side to release it. I had to make a make-do puller out of the new bar weight to pull it out. No biggee, just took a bit of think time. Went together easy. My only gripes are: A) the aluminum parts are raw. It would be really nice if they were black (or colored) anodized. I'm anticipating them to start getting oxidized and crusty. I'm considering removing and either anodizing or powder coating, B) The bar weights that go in the bar could be heavier. The handlebar vibration increased a bit, but not bad. This is good product. I have ridden in the rain many time since installing and my gloves stay relatively dry. Can't say anything about cold weather since it has not been cold yet. (Posted on 10/15/14)

Bought these to keep lessen the wind on my hands now that the colder riding weather is here. The do a great job. Easy install on my 2012 NC700X DCT. (Posted on 10/15/14)

These were a fairly easy install, other then having to clean all the buildup out of the handlebar to get the flared plug into it. The instructions said to mount the aluminum horizontal but on my 2007 V-Strom 650 the nearer mounting bracket interfered with my brake reservoir so they're a little lower then level. Still work great though. (Posted on 9/11/14)

These have already saved my 2007 vstrom from an embarrasing tip over in a grocery store parking lot. Previously I had the suzuki OEM handguards and they were very flimsy. Have shown these to a few fellow riders and they sell themsleves in terms of security, safety, and comfort. (Posted on 7/16/14)
