I bought this for use on my KTM 990 Adventure that has the base bracket with the rod/tube mount (not the ball). I wanted a flexible GPS mount to allow for adjustment as well as a mount that did not allow the GPS to bounce around. This works very well, is easy to remove the GPS unit and holds the device in position well. I've had trouble with the "ball & clamp" moving but this mount solves that issue. It also places the GPS just above the instrument panel, not off to the side or on the handlebars. This allows me to keep looking forward and still see the GPS details. Very effective, I highly recommend it. (Posted on 4/1/2016)

I purchased for my BMW f800GSA in February 2014. I attached the RAM arm and X-Grip holder for use with my cell and Nuvi. This thing works great. Easy peasy to install. Must add the Ram kit so you can adjust it "on-the-fly". (Posted on 9/1/2014)

Not a lot of choises right now, but it works well. Very solid and looks good. Only issue is after you get the Garmin mount its mounts up pretty far away from the cross bar. It would be nice if it where closer. I dont think it can be, the anti-vibration mount is a must and the Garmin mount is pretty bulky,so I dont see this getting smaller. (Posted on 7/7/2014)
