Bought the screen to provide additional wind deflection during longer rides. Yesterday spent 6hrs on various roads and highways and the MRA Vario windscreen functioned very well. Screen looks good, is easy to mount (using the stock windscreen mounting locations) - just take care not to tighten the mounting screws too tightly. The top airfoil allows adjustment to take pressure off of the torso & deflect it and can be adjusted, more difficult while riding but easily at a stop. (Posted on 4/22/2016)

Very nice shield. Quality product. Only complaint : missing hardware for attaching shield to mounting bracket. If ordering one, talk to rep and be sure the correct mounting hardware is included. I have to wait another week for hardware. Other than that, good stuff maynard!!! (Posted on 12/23/2015)

Installation wasn't bad. Two sets of washers can be mixed up however, one set is plastic and they belong with screws to windshield. The other set go with the installation bracket. Once installed, the spoiler is very difficult to adjust. I believe it's tolerance is tight due to its design. I am 5'9" with stock seat and the spoiler in full up position the wind hits me at the neck and helmet. The wind is clean and absolutely no head movement due to wind. I will say I use a cheap HJC full face and I also use a wind blocker that attaches to the lower part of helmet. This reduces any wind from upsetting helmet from underneath. I will also say that the look is great in my opinion. I have the smoked windshield. (Posted on 3/23/2015)

I have owned sport and touring bikes with some kind of windscreen since about 1994. I had "standard" style (AKA naked) bikes prior to that. When I purchased my FZ-09 in December of 2014 I figured the lack of windscreen wouldn't be a bid deal. Well it was. Windscreen was on the top of my accessory list along with hand guards to help block the wind. I had seen the vario attachment on other sport and ADV bikes in the past so when I saw this windscreen was available for the FZ-09 it was an easy decision to buy. It does the job quite well. As with any windscreen that is attached to the handlebars there is some headshake instability due to turbulence at higher speeds and with strong headwinds while the upper faring is adjusted up all the way for full effect. That's not really a fault of the windscreen but rather the mounting location. With screen mounted and in the full up position it forces airflow just above the upper edge of my helmet visor. In the full down position the airflow hits just below my chin/upper chest area. That gives you an idea as to the variability of the adjustment. I prefer to ride with the full up position most of the time. It makes a big difference in the winter. (Posted on 1/13/2015)

I received this windshield a few days ago and installed it immediately. The nuts and bolts that hold the windshield to the mounting bracket were missing. All other hardware seemed to be there along with some plastic tubing I could find no mention of in the directions. A quick run to the hardware store and it was all put together. It looks nice, seems to provide a good bit of wind protection. Haven't had it on the highway for any length of time but I think it should help quite a bit at high speeds. All things considered, I like the product just disappointed about the missing hardware. (Posted on 10/21/2014)

First, the good: Quick and easy to install. Solid mount. No noticeable effect on steering/stability. The "Vario" actually works. I'm 5'11ish and skinny (doubled over fake sheepskin cover on front of oem "picket fence" seat). Screen full down, airflow hits neck and upper shoulders, screen full up airflow hits helmet face shield. Wind pressure greatly reduced on upper body. Easier to relax and deal with that touchy throttle.
The not so good: Dramatic wind noise increase(yes, I wear earplugs); Lose most of that wonderful intake/exhaust music. Lost wind pressure makes rear"comfy" part of seat usable only at highway speeds or above. Inadequate coverage for cold weather riding. Some big hand guards would help, but I've already been forced into the "tankbag tuck" on a cool ride(upper 40's) home without insulation beneath my riding suit. These aren't really complaints. I'd gladly ride the 400 or so miles to Deals Gap with this screen. I'd take my heated riding gear, just in case. (Posted on 8/21/2014)

Taking a quick trip to see ailing parents. I am biking from Charleston, SC to Knoxville Tenn, on my FZ09 with my new Vario Touring Screen. This screen keeps the wind of my torso. This screen adjusts at the rubber mounts and the fin adjusts in a few positions. I am pleased with my purchase. (Posted on 8/14/2014)
