Straps are clumsy, but consider: They are for any dry pack or dry bag.

Anyone who purchased this needs to remember--it's not a "weatherpoof backpack" it's a "dry pack" which is a noun for a waterproof sleeve with a roll-down top that buckles into position. They're a common concept in the outdoors world--the previous reviewer who left a negative review was obviously misinformed. (Posted on 11/10/2015)

I'm a huge SW-Motech fan, but if I could give this "zero stars" I would. First of all, it's NOT really a backpack. It's more like a waterproof pillowcase with straps sewn on. The way the straps are affixed is even quite odd. The entire top is open (with no zipper) and you're supposed to fill it up, roll it over and buckle it. Where you roll it over depends on how much "stuff" you put it in. I took one look at it and put it back in the box. Looks more like something an 8th grade home economics class would make rather than a quality product from SW-Motech. (Posted on 9/15/2015)
