The R&G Radiator Guard is designed to protect the vulnerable radiator from debris thrown by the front tire and other vehicles on the road in front of you. A seamless aluminum frame supports a strong yet lightweight mesh screen powder coated in red to accent the color scheme and resist corrosion. This radiator guard will keep bugs and stones from embedding themselves into the hundreds of fragile cooling fins that need to be kept clean in order for your engine to stay cool. Cooling efficency is not decreased with the installation of this radiator guard. If left unprotected, a stone could easily cause a puncture that would leave you stranded in a pool of coolant waiting for a tow truck or worse cause an overheat situation. Invest in proper protection for your R3 with this R&G Radiator Guard and ride on!

Installation wasn't exactly, "simple" (you have to remove some of your fairing), but the product itself was fantastic!
It uses existing hardware points on the radiator, and uses one bolt (at the top and hardware is included in the kit) as well as foam rubber strips you use to keep vibration at a minimum.
Some other companies use "zip ties" to secure the guard.
Id have to say, my biggest complaint was having to cut up the foam rubber strips to approximately 10mm.
If R&G could offer pre-cut strips, it would speed up installation a bit.
No, its not impossible to do it yourself, but trying to cut up foam rubber isn't a precise event.
I would also like to see R&G give an illustration for recommended positioning of the foam rubber strips.
All in all, I would recommend this highly to anyone looking to offer outstanding protection for your R3!
I STRONGLY recommend this radiator guard as the R3 is very vulnerable to oncoming bugs, rocks from cars and any other debris.
Cheap insurance and a product that will stand the test of time. (Posted on 5/3/2016)
