The MadStad Adjustable Windshield Mount for the Suzuki V-Strom DL650 2012 - . It replaces the factory windshield mount, making the windshield adjustable by about 25 degrees of tilt angle and 3" (76mm) of height adjustment. Smooths out the air flow and eliminates turbulence.Note: This bracket will not work with the stock 2012 screen, but will work with 2004-2011 screens. See below.
These brackets are stainless steel and powder coated satin-black to blend in nicely with the dashboard. Angle and height adjustment is easily performed with just one hand, no tools, and you don't even need to get off of the bike. All the hardware you need is included, and installation takes just a few minutes. The MadStad brackets are compatible with the SW Motech GPS mount.
All hardware is included along with an Allen wrench to remove the factory bracket and install the new MadStad adjustable bracket. Installation takes just a few minutes.
Fit Notes: This MadStad bracket WILL NOT work with 2012 DL650 stock windshield. However, it has the same windshield mounting hole pattern as the previous DL650 V-Strom series, which means that this bracket will work with any of the dozens of aftermarket windshields made for the 2004-2011 series DL650. Including:
- OEM V-Strom Windshield (2004-2011)
- MRA VarioTouringScreen Windshield
- MRA VarioTouringScreen Windshield (16.3-inches tall)
- MRA OriginalScreen Windshield (15.4-inches tall)
- Givi D260ST Windscreen (22.4-inches tall)
2012 and Later screens: Will not fit with this Madstad bracket. This link has the whole list of MRA screens that will fit this motorcycle when a Madstadt bracket has been installed.
Screen selection note: The windshield mounting holes on the new V-Strom are higher up than on the previous model, so you will not need as tall a windshield. Whatever the shield height would have been for you on the previous V-Strom, subtract 2 inches (50 mm) and that's the height you will need on the new 2012 DL650.
