Massage Therapist Mayhem - a massage table on a Honda VFR800 Interceptor

Here we have an interesting article on the 2000 Honda VFR800.

David is a licensed massage therapist and native of San Francisco, Calfornia. Visit him at FreestyleMassage.com.

As San Francisco's streets are crowded with heavy traffic and have few available parking places, David first came to us in August 2004 looking for a way to carry his massage table on he back of his Honda VFR800 motorcycle. Doing so would allow him to bring his massage table to his client's homes and park his motorcycle on the sidewalk outside during their appointment, avoiding the hassle and expense of parking a car in San Francisco.

After giving it some thought, we suggested that he might be able to modify an SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock sidcarrier system to carry the load and still be able to remove the rack from the motorcycle when not in use.

Shortly thereafter, our lawyer told us to send him a disclaimer stating that such use and modifications would void all warrantees and might cause poor handling and/or damage to his bike (lawyers are funny, aren't they?), but David was undeterred!

David purchased an SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock sidecarrier for his yellow 2000 Honda VFR800 and brought them both to Greg Pless at GAPlessproductions.com. You can also reach him by email at

or by phone at 650-245-9354.

Greg Pless, a master welder and artist, modified the SW-MOTECH sidecarrier, reinforcing its strength as well as adding a custom-built topcarrier for carrying the massage table itself.

The rest is history!

And as for the handling of the bike with a massage table on the back? Let's just say David's new nickname is "Wheelie King".
