Motorcycle Medics in Miami

Information on the advantages Motorcycles offer to various agencies.
We recently found an interesting story about practical motorcycling on Fox News. Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue recently deployed a fleet of 10 specially equipped BMW paramedic motorcycles, each fitted with special lifesaving equipment. The narrow profile of the motorcycle enable the paramedics to arrive on accident scenes faster by riding through traffic congestion and construction areas.

Motorcycle medics can speed through crowded city streets faster than ambulances.
David Alonso, the program trainer, stated that "short of being able to transport somebody here, we are able to do anything an ambulance can do upon arrival at a scene... we can make an immediate response, we can make a quick assessment of the situation and a determination of what resources we need at the scene."

We frequently see both government and commercial agencies in Europe using motorcycles for a wide variety of utility purposes, to include delivery couriers, taxis, military dispatch riders, paramedics, and police officers. We are pleased to see this trend gaining popularity within the US as well.
