SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack and Quick-Lock Sideracks installed on a Kawasaki ZZR1200

Here we have pictures of a ZZR1200.
This is the way to do it for your Givi luggage mounting needs. No ugly racks on your bike these babies just snap on and snap off with the flick of the wrist. Only thing left on the bike is a couple small tabs that are barely noticeable and a kind of nice looking rear luggage rack. These are a nice solid mount for Givi cases. More than I could have hoped for! Here are some pictures of the system.

I like it man. I think this is going to be a great mount.

Tips for install:

(1) Use a small screw driver and a little oil for shoving the rubber bumpers into the holes on the mounts.

(2) Take both the SW-Motech Alu-Rack and Quick-Lock sidecarriers out of the packages because you will have two of some items; keep the hardware with the respective pieces of equipment.

(3) Make sure you install the proper side rails for the Alu-Rack top rack. [The Alu-Rack comes with support rails lacking sidecarrier mounting tabs. The Quick-Lock sidecarrier comes with replacement support rails that include sidecarrier mounting tabs].

Now that I’m done, I could do 10 more in 2 hours! Total time for install was somewhere just under 3 hours. Looks much better than the Givi mounts and it all pops off with the flick of the wrist. No kidding! You can have all those metal mounts off in like 15 seconds. The only thing that stays on the bike is the silver-powdercoated aluminum Alu-Rack (the black mounting plate is removable).

Ugly Givi mounting system?? Not any more LOOK!!

You had better order some SW-Motech sidemounts and top racks for Kawasaki zz-r1200's! I have been publishing pictures of my bike with the racks I purchased from you on our ZZR1200 discussion group website and the comments have been overwhelmingly in favor with several committed to buying. I hope by publishing the pictures it will help with installs.

Thank you for your fine service. I hope to outfit many more rides in the future through you.

Thanks,
-Michael Brown

Rear view with SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack and sidecarriers installed. Sidecarriers detach in just a few seconds, leaving only a few small mounting tabs.

These side racks can pop on and off so fast it will make your head spin. Pop them off leave them in your hotel room and go for a day ride!

Footpeg mounting point for SW-MOTECH sidecarriers. It's the little thumb-sized black thingy.

Rear license plate bracket attaches to the SW-MOTECH sidecarrier's rear crossbar.

This is all that will be left when you take off your luggage racks. Not bad compared to givi. Racks pop off in seconds.

Alu-Rack without Givi adapter plate.

Black Givi adapter plate pops off leaving only the nice looking silver Alu-Rack toprack.

This black Givi adapter plate pops off buy turning 3 Quick-Lock disconnects in the middle of the plate 90 degrees with a flathead screw driver.

Finally done!! Install was pretty easy under 3 hours. Now that I've done one I could do 10 in 3 hrs. Pretty easy stuff.

Rear view with SW-MOTECH luggage carriers, Givi E41 sidecases, and Givi E52N topcase. E41N sidecases each have TwistedThrottle.com reflective warning stickers!
