Summary: Creates and enhances business relationships with new and existing dealer accounts with the primary objectives of increasing revenue and relationship satisfaction.

Regional Sales Managers are responsible for proactively following up on or communicating ordering program information and cultivating new product sales through managing relationships with existing and prospective dealer accounts. In addition, Regional Sales Managers will also be responsible for establishing new dealer accounts within their assigned territories.

Regional Sales Managers must be adaptive and results-oriented with the commitment to build and maintain consultative relationships with clients through the entire sales cycle. Representatives are tasked with responsibility for meeting ambitious sales goals. This position is primarily an inside sales role and requires the ability to function in a fast paced and dynamic organization that is looking to grow revenues quickly. Regional Sales Managers should use strategic selling skills to drive desired results and grow the business through cross-selling, up-selling, and working with other members of the sales and customer service teams to retain customers after the initial sale.

Primary Responsibilities:

Drive Business Growth:

  • Work independently and collaboratively with all communication channels to accelerate sales with existing customers
  • Develop new or expanded sales opportunities through communicating with prospective customers to understand their business needs
  • Make telephone, in-person or web conference sales presentations to customers or prospect decision makers who represent new or incremental sales opportunities
  • Process sales orders, create sales quotes, invoices and record and track sales activities
  • Follow up on dealer orders with active communication regarding backorders, ETAs, shipment, and seeking out questions or general rapport with dealers
  • Use value-based selling techniques to leverage the position of Twisted Throttle and the motorcycle products it offers and to educate and influence customers, including using tools to assess return on investment
  • Innovatively respond to customer requests to reduce spending or cancel orders by helping the customer solve problems
  • Develop and maintain sales plans for assigned accounts
  • Actively manage and maintain required pipeline and forecast data
  • Prepare regular contact, sales forecasts, and sales activity reports

Build Customer Relationships:

  • Develop future business opportunities and gain referrals through building effective consultative relationships with customers during the sales process, ensuring quality customer service
  • Ensure a consistent customer experience by keeping customer database up to date by recording all activities, transactions, and communications with customers
  • Proactively seek out ways to establish Twisted Throttle as a reliable expert and the first choice for Dealer customers’ needs


  • Work closely with order entry specialist to receive and communicate prepared orders for processing
  • Actively support other areas of Customer Service and the overall operation when requested to ensure the highest level of service for all customers
  • Collaborate with team members across the organization to address any issues regarding service for the customer or to determine appropriate solutions to meet complex customer needs
  • Participate in internal meetings to recommend improvements or updates to internal systems, website sales processes, communicate and coordinate sales, reports on sales activities, implement new products, solve problems
  • Use CRM tools to maintain constant and open contact with team members

Minimum Requirements:

  • Extensive motorcycle knowledge
  • 1-2 years customer service or sales experience
  • 1-2 years business development experience
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work independently
  • Team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use CSV files, Excel files, and Access or SQL tables and queries to analyze data


Up to 15%, including 1-3 industry events annually

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years in business-to-business sales environment with quotas
