I got this because the wet vests just don't work in Oman due to the 90+ humidity and well above 100f temperatures. The Quality is great and fits well (one size bigger). However, it didn't make difference in my weather like the dry vests. Also it's a pain trying to pour te water in and ensuring it spreads around. Would have been better with 3 inlets for the 2 front sides and rear area. (Posted on 6/3/16)

I bought this vest almost 2 years ago and it has proven indispensable in HOT Texas, commuting on a Harley in stop and go traffic (often 45 minutes to an hour). It works. I do wear a partially mesh mostly textile jacket. I love that it does not soak my shirt because I really don't want to have to change clothes when I get to where I'm going.

Once you get the hang of the water amount and what that feels/looks like and how to easily distribute the water, it really is very quick to get it ready to go. I personally judge the water amount by distributing the water and then holding the vest upright to drain the water to the bottom of the vest and look as the "sag" on all sides. Sometimes I just move all the water to one front panel and judge that way - might be easier for you. Of course, you need know what that "sag" looks like when you have measured the water into a dry vest. You do not have to be exact but you DO have to be close.

It is pricy but it is holding up marvelously and that's saying something in Texas. For example we had 90's here in November and early December this year, so it does get used a lot. (Posted on 4/5/16)

Definitely helps keep you cool, but you need to have lots of air flow. Works best with very thin shirt or microfiber shirt. If you don't let it dry out completely, it can be difficult to know how much water to add to recharge. (Posted on 2/22/16)

I ride in the Arizona desert and it can get quite hot when you stop in traffic. This vest not only keeps you cool while moving, the water inside keeps you cool when stopped also. It's easy to fill and you don't get wet. (Posted on 9/25/15)

The first time I used the vest was last week on a trip from north Florida to the Texas hill country. It kept me cool even when the temperature got over 100. My clothes didn't get wet and the initial charge of water lasted all day. It is easy to fill; l just poured in some water and laid it flat for a while to let it even out.
A couple of people asked if it was a bullit-proof vest; might be a good feature to add :-) (Posted on 9/18/15)

The Macna cooling vest worked well. However, in TX more is needed. The temps here are in the upper 90s. Less than those temps, it would be very effective and recommended. (Posted on 9/3/15)

I bought for a motorcycle trip in hot Summer Texas heat. Not a scientist, but believe it greatly improved the experience. I think it dropped my core temperature at least 10(ish) degrees. Fit was good. (Posted on 7/17/15)

I got my Dry Cooling vest just in time for a summer ride into the interior of BC. At highway speeds, or even if you are rolling without stops in the city, you notice a distinct cooling effect. In stop and go traffic, or sitting at a red light, you'll still feel the heat creeping up, but not as fast as without the vest. The one thing that seems to reduce the perceived cooling is high humidity When you are already damp from the atmosphere, evaporation doesn't feel like it's helping. I have to note that it is hard to prove a negative - in other words, would I have been melting faster without the vest? I'm not going to volunteer for that control test!
Overall, I think the Macna Dry Cooling Vest made a number of tough riding more bearable, but I was still happy to get inside and out of the sun at the end of the day. (Posted on 7/4/15)

Bought this hoping it would provide some much needed cooling. I've worn it a few times and cannot feel any benefit other than the extra coverage, provided by this, makes those areas of my body hotter. (Posted on 9/1/14)
