PROS: Location, location, location. This is the ideal view-centered perch for a nav unit. Installation on my Tenere was simple and well instructed using the enclosed procedure. Straightforward and concise directions.Rating
For 8k miles it's been a sound mount and allows for simple, one-handed GPS mounting and dismounting. Wired through ignition and good to go.
CONS: Vibration Damping... Not truly. I have a larger new Garmin model and yet still find it difficult to read text at speed due to a fine-medium resonant vibration. Not a deal breaker, just not quite as put forth. I thought perhaps by loosening or tightening screws running through rubber bumpers might help with finding the sweet spot to cancel the vibes but no luck there.
I come from RAM mounts on handlebars on other bikes and although I much prefer that degree of vibration damping... I much prefer this mount if only for location.
