In preparation for my "Epic Post Retirement Ride" next summer, I decided that camping was going to be part of my trip and started worrying about how I was going to carry everything. That was when I learned about the D66 DrySpec Bag packing system.

The D66 has completely solved my problem! I've used it on three trips so far and it's worked to pack my: tent, cot, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, chair, and tent lantern, plus a few smaller odds and ends.

Compared to my old method of bungees and straps it's much more secure and compact, and has kept everything dry without having tarps and plastic flapping in the breeze.

It has become the "go-to" packing system for those of us who ride the Honda NT700V! (Posted on 12/15/12)

It's hard to imagine how big this luggage system really is until you have it in hand. If I were travelling in hotels, this could easily accomodate 5 days worth of clothing. If I stuff my one man tent and sleeping bag in it, maybe 2-3 days tops.

The modular nature of the system is also a tremendous plus. The smaller bag is perfect for day trips.

Attachment of the bag to my bike (Super Tenere) is straightforward as any soft sided luggage I've had before. The attachment between the bags is also straightforward. Everything is secure. The big bag also has an integrated handle to help you carry it off the bike, The loops on the bags also offer an opportunity to strap on additional gear. Each bag has extra straps meant to offer mounting flexibility.

Construction is solid. I try not ride in the rain, but these look just as waterproof as other dry bags I have.

There are two cons that I can see.

1. Whilst there is room for 2 people's stuff, you can't ride 2 up with the big bag installed.

2. The small bag doesn't have any structure like the big bag. So you almost have to stuff it full for it to look like the photos. (Posted on 10/13/12)
