Constructed of a 4mm-thick aluminum base plate and 3mm-thick side plates for heavy-duty, light-weight protection. Where the base plates and side plates overlap, it forms a riveted 7mm-thick rail for extra rigidity. Base plate includes side protectors that wrap around the engine block to provide both bottom and side protection. This skidplate can be used with or without SW-MOTECH's centerstand for the Tiger 800 (HPS.11.751.10000.B). Includes a cut-out for oil drain screw to allow for easy oil changes.

The U.S. edition has an EVAC unit that gets in the way when installing this unit. I called customer service on Christmas Eve and actually got to talk to a person!! Very helpful! I trimmed the tab with a cut wheel and had it on my bike in fifteen minutes. SW-Motech did a beautiful job on the plate, and customer service was great (Posted on 12/24/12)Rating
