The instructions were clear and concise. The install was a bit fidly, but there isn't much that can be done about that when bolting a cage under and around your motor. I found it easiest to lay out each of the bolts (some I had to measure) on the part description sheet to keep them all straight.
For >35,000 miles I was proud to say I had never dropped or laid down my bike. 1 week after install I was attempting to put my 800 on centerstand. My shoe slipped, and I landed on top of the bike. The hand guards just barely touched the ground. No plastic , tank, seat or radiator damage. So much for scratch free packaging... (Posted on 10/19/12)
