I bought these footpegs to give me a little more leg room on my 2nd gen KLR650. The KLR has more leg room than most, but at 6'1" with a 34+" inseam my knees would ache after a couple hours on the bike, especially if getting out of the saddle a bunch. The 15mm drop of the SW-MOTECH from stock is more noticeable than I expected. My legs are in a more relaxed position, center of gravity lowered when standing on the pegs and I don't have to slouch to reach the grips. A peg-dragger might be worried about clearance, but that's not what my KLR is about. The fit/finish is top-notch. I've just ridden with the rubber pad in place but looks like mud clearance would be excellent without it. The adaptor kit had a part missing-- not TTs fault and they were easy to work with for the exchange to a properly packaged kit. (Posted on 1/13/16)

After installing the pegs on a KLR I discovered with the additional width of the peg it reduced the distance between the gear change lever and the peg so much that I could not my foot under the gear change lever even after adjusting the gear change lever up one notch, there was still not enough room for size 11 boots. It looks like to me that the mounting boss should offset to the rear of the peg so you are able to keep the stock distance between the peg and gear change lever. The quality of the peg is good, but the pegs will probably become a wall ornament (Posted on 9/5/15)

I ordered the SW pegs because they were the only ones I found that had the option of the removable rubber pad. When I ordered them I thought they were awful expensive for foot pegs but when I received them I was blown away by the build and finish quality. The machining work and finish are exceptional, I'm an engineer and familiar with the cost of NC machining and these pegs are a good deal for what you get. The adjustable height feature is really nice, I set them to the lower position because I have a lowered seat and the riding position is pretty much perfect for my 32" inseam. The pegs are nice and large and provide stable footing both with the rubber on and off. I noticed no increase in vibration to my feet versus the stock pegs with the rubber pads on, I haven't ridden much with the pads off but it seems fine so far. The only concern I have is the pegs do not pivot up all the way, they rotate up about 30 degrees and stop. I do not really understand why this is because it looks like if they had machined just a little more off the radius they would pivot all the way up like the stock pegs. It seems possible to me if the bike takes a hard fall on the side that the frame where the foot pegs mount is more likely to get damaged than it would with the stock pegs. I don't know this for sure, it's just a question in my mind. I am very happy with the foot pegs. (Posted on 3/30/15)

Came in the mail today and installed them right away on my 2013 KLR 650. They went on very easily, I put them in the lower position hole and they are excellent! have the removable rubber pad installed and took bike for a spin and the platform is definitely more comfortable than stock and even the rubber is less slippery than the stock pegs and grip seems great with the rubber insert off but haven't actually tried them off road yet. A great mod to my KLR , would recommend to anyone (Posted on 3/30/15)
