According to RagnCajn of Stromtrooper.com, the SW-MOTECH gadget mount can be combined with the Madstad windshield mount. Here's an excerpt from his February 2008 comments:
With the GPS cradle installed, you can still access Madstad knobs. It is tight with the GPS in the cradle, but my hands can fit. With the GPS out, it is no problem. There is no interference from the bracket at all. The only time I think there may be the slightest contact is if you bring the bracket to it's highest position and full-tilt back towards the rider.
The past month, more people than I can count have stopped and commented on how cool of a setup it is. I'd have to agree. Not taking your eyes off the road, or scanning from gauges to GPS to road is extremely comfortable.
It is a great setup. I'd highly recommend it.
This item replaces the older GPS.05.013.100 that was not vibration damped.

Installation Note: When used in conjunction with a MadStad Adjustable Windshield Mount (Suzuki DL650 & DL1000 V-Strom, '04-'11) discard the spacers in the GPS Holder kit. Special Thanks for this information go out to Eric Y and his detailed installation instructions found on Stromtrooper.com
