Avon Storm tires are long wearing, high mileage sport-touring tires that offer excellent grip in both wet and dry weather. The large sipes (water channels) provide more grip in wet weather than the slicker VP2 Sport, and still provide plenty of grip in dry weather for sporty touring or the occasional track day.

The Avon VP2 Sport tires offer outstanding handling characteristics with a large footprint at extreme lean angles. Recommended for aggressive sport riding. These tires are stickier on dry pavement and have a shorter lifespan than Avon Storm sport-touring tires. The VP2 has smaller sipes (water channels) and provides less grip in wet weather than the Avon Storm 2 Ultra but makes up for it on the dry pavement.
