This E-series model-specific adapter plate is designed to add a Givi Monokey case to your existing OEM toprack or tailsection (model-dependent). Depending on the model, the adapter plate may be cast aluminum or durable molded nylon. Rugged black finish. All necessary mounting hardware and installation diagram included.
Installs quickly using simple hand tools. Mounts standard Givi Monokey topcases (ie E45 Elegant, E460 Delux, E52 Maxia), or the flat, stable surface can be used as a solid toprack when the topcase is not needed.
E528 can be used on a DL1000 V-Strom with Givi PL528 sideracks or SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock sideracks (KFT.05.158.100).
E528 can be used on a DL650 V-Strom with Givi PL532 sideracks or SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock sideracks (KFT.05.294.100).
Note for users of Givi brakelight kits
When using Givi brakelight kits with the E528 topplate, the following wiring connections should be made for 2002 DL1000:
Givi light kit blue (+) :: DL1000 brake light hot wire - white w/ black stripe (+)
Givi light kit black (-) :: DL1000 brake light ground wire - gray (-)
The third wire on the brakelights, black with white stripe (+), is a running light and should not be used.
We do not know the exact year the DL wires changed colors.
The 2008 DL1000 uses:
Givi light kit blue (+) :: White w/black stripe (+) Brake Light
Givi light kit black (-) :: Black w/white strip (-)
The third wire on the brakelights, gray (+), is a running light and should not be used.
Givi E-series topcase racks are for use with Givi Monokey topcases ONLY and are NOT compatible with Givi Monolock topcases.
If you would like to mount a Givi Monolock topcase, order the SW-Motech Alu-rack with the Monolock adapter plate.

Admin note: This is a dedicated thread for discussing the Topcase Adapter Plate (Suzuki DL1000). I was amazed at how easy it was to install the topcase plate. After pulling away the Suzuki rubber protector, it was pretty simple to put the toprack together. Only thing I'd advise is that when you do install it, make sure that you first un-screw the passenger grab bars. It took me 2 minutes but saves a LOT of hassle and swearing. The other thing to watch on the '05 DL650 is that there is pretty much no room to work on the screws underneath the plate so use a nice thin wrench or some long thin pliers with tape to hold the nut in place while you fasten the screws.
