SW-MOTECH's highly functional and elegant toprack features a strong, integrated-looking, lightweight aluminum design. Mounts alone or with SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock sideracks (available separately). The smart, multi-functional design enables the use of a Quick-Lock adapter plate (sold separately) to carry Givi Monokey, Givi Monolock, TraX ALU-BOX, Kappa, Hepco & Becker, and Krauser topcases.
Installs quickly using basic hand tools. No cutting, drilling, or welding of existing motorcycle components required. The Alu-Rack is available in a silver powder coated finish and includes basic diagram-type instructions which may have small amounts of either English and German text.
Available in powdercoated silver or black.
This item can be used with or without with the original BMW OEM hard sidecases & mounting racks.
While it's possible to direct-bolt the "universal" Givi Monolock plate that's included with the purchase of a Givi Monolock topcase to the Alu-Rack, we do not recommend it because (1) part of your passenger seat may be covered by the Monolock plate, and (2) the screws included with the Monolock plate are too long for this purpose and may scratch your taillight. We strongly recommend that you purchase the SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack Topcase Adapter Plate for Givi Monolock cases to properly install your topcase on this rear rack.

Admin note: This is a dedicated thread for discussing the SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack Toprack (BMW K1200S). This rack works great, specially with the soft luggage plate which comes off without needing tools. Does anyone know the thread size of the bosses in the front end of the grab bars? I need to mount some additional eyes for securing a bag over the back seat. Thanks, AM
