Comments:
I like this case very much. Deceptively roomy. I've used it for 2 seasons and found two problems. One is that the screws that hold the plastic linking pieces between the two lids invariably pulled out of the lid so I just had to open out the lid entirely which I'm sure put stress on the spine. I recently found that using a slightly longer screw (upper lid) doesn't pierce anything would poke through externally, and it holds really well now. I could have avoided the scratches as the lid fell open in hotel rooms! Secondly, the top lid is quite tall as the case opens in the centre. I would prefer that more of the capacity was in the bottom lid (V46 monokey is better balanced). I find I have to balance a pile of things and make sure they aren't hanging over the sides as I close the lid. Then when I open it I have to be ready to stop things sliding off. I bought some shock cord (thin black bungee cord) and a few small adhesive stickers designed to hold cable ties. I stuck four into the top lid about half way up, at front and back, and strung the shock cord through, forming two parallel lines about 15cm apart. I securing the cord to the holders using cable ties. I tuck my rain suit in there and it is out of the way when I don't need it and easy to get to when I do. It's great! I ended up putting a further adhesive holder in and stretching the shock cord to cover more of the case on the kick stand side with an angled extra length of the cord (like a shortened V shape with the existing line), as the suit tended to slide under the cords as I parked the bike and the case tilted. At $8 was an inexpensive solution to those little annoyances as you grapple with the contents.

Admin note: This is a dedicated thread for discussing the Givi E370 Monolock Topcase (ea).  I purchased this top trunk to go on my 03 Victory V92C in 2006. Since there are not allot of products for the earlier VIC's, its definitely a search and review. What I like about this trunk, is the built in brake light. Had a few problems the first time I tried to get it to work, but that was due to not having the lid closed correctly (stuffed to full). Having a higher brake light than the stock fender light has added to my visibility at stop lights or just on braking. Definitely will hold a helmet and gloves, but not much more. Tight squeeze for a jacket that has body armor. No problem with water or moisture, it stays dry.
