Choose the model that fits your motorcycle's windshield! Available in clear or smoke gray tint only.

For fitting information, see the attached installation instructions (PDF).

Kit includes spoiler, hinges, and screws required for installation. Screws provided require a Torx T8 bit (not included). This item does NOT include a complete preassembled MRA VarioTouringScreen windshield!

VarioTouring Extension Spoilers must be mounted in a position where the original windscreen is angled at 30 degrees.

Four 6.2mm (0.25 inch) diameter holes must be drilled in your original screen during installation. The two sets of 2 holes must be drilled at 1.5cm and 5.5cm from the rear edge of the screen.

The straight-line horizontal distance between the drill holes must be as follows for each model of VarioTouring Extension Spoiler:

Please note that VarioTouring Extension Spoilers are NOT returnable once the original factory packaging has been opened.

Fit on particular original windscreens is NOT guaranteed. If you wish to have a windscreen with a preinstalled VarioTouring Extension Spoiler, please see MRA's VarioTouringScreens for Faired Bikes or MRA's VarioTouringScreen for Naked Bikes!

Twisted Throttle Ltd and MRA are not responsible for any damage to an original windscreen resulting from use or installation of the VarioTouring Extension Spoiler.

Note: The VTA3 and VTA6 spoilers have the same mounting dimensions but are slightly different shapes. The VTA3 spoiler is straighter and longer, while the VTA6 spoiler is more rounded at the rear edge.

Also note: The VTA10 and VTA10SP have the same mounting dimensions but are slightly different shapes. The VTA10 has a slightly more aggressive curve to it than the VTA10SP which is a bit flatter. The difference is very minor, but may assist in purchasing the best spoiler for your particular screen.

Customer Testimonial: Wayne B. Xpeed/MS3 Scooter "This is one purchase I am glad I have made. It works great for me. It definitely directs the wind above the helmet instead of straight into the face. It makes a quieter and much nicer ride. It has seven adjustable positions, when it is in the lowest position it is like just having the windshield, when in the highest position it definitely directs the wind higher, if I raise my head a few inches it is like it used to be without the extension. I didn't realize how much wind was actually blowing directly into my face area until I installed this extension. I was looking at the laminar lips, but thought they looked really huge and didn't think I would like the looks of it, this one doesn't look very bad at all on the windshield and I am glad I went with this instead of the laminar lip. I got the VTA8 shape, it has just a little bit more of a curve than the windshield, but it is flexible and easy enough to take a little bit of the curve out when installing. I would take a picture but I don't have a digital camera. I'll have to see if I can find someone that can take a picture for me. I am 5'10" so not sure how it would work if you are over 6'. The VTA8 shape has 21 cm between the mounting holes, you don't want to go with any of the shapes that have a larger distance than this or you will have to install it too low on the windshield that it probably wouldn't work as well. Right now with it in the lowest position the top of the extension is about even with the top of the windshield, and I installed it as high as I could on the windshield. In the highest position it is only about 1 1/2 inches higher than the windshield, but it works very well for me. "

06.21.2010 14:22 » VTA-9 on Bandit 1250 Zero Gravity Touring Screen. Chris Lair
I installed a model VTA-9 on a 2008 Suzuki Bandit 1250 with a Zero Gravity Touring Screen. Another poster on a forum used a VTA-1 on the Bandit ZG Touring screen. Both will work. The VTA-9 is closer to the curve of the ZG screen, but not exact. Both the VTA-1 and VTA 9 have to be flexed to fit the ZG screen, more so for the VTA-1. The minimal flexing does not affect function. The VTA-9 follows the shape of the ZG screen better, but the VTA-1 will be slightly taller overall. Installation was quick and easy. The extension made a very positive difference in wind protection, and I'm very satisfied with the product.
