The North American version of the Kawasaki ZX14 / ZZR1400 rear cover panel (shown in the left side of this photo) must either be cut OR replaced with the European version of the rear cover panel when installing the SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack. Kawasaki "H8-ebony" color shown.
U.S. specification rear cover panel (Kawasaki part number 36040-0058) must be cut to install SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack.
European specification rear cover panel (Kawasaki part number 36040-0059) has pre-existing cutouts for the original Kawasaki grab handle found on European models. This cutout also accomodates the SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack.
U.S. specification rear cover panel (Kawasaki part number 36040-0058) does not have cutouts for a grab handle and must therefore be cut to install the SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack.

SW-MOTECH's highly functional and elegant toprack features a strong, integrated-looking, lightweight aluminum design. Mounts alone or with SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock sideracks (available separately). The smart, multi-functional design enables the use of a Quick-Lock adapter plate (sold separately) to carry GIVI Monokey, Kappa, Hepco & Becker, and Krauser topcases. A GIVI Monolock topcase may be mounted on the Alu-Rack using the permanent-mount adapter plate included with the Monolock case. 12-inch wide and 16-inch wide soft luggage adapter plates are also available for the Alu-Rack to expand the capacity for carryling soft luggage.
Installs quickly using basic hand tools.
No cutting, drilling, or welding of existing motorcycle components required for installation on European version of the motorcycle with passenger grab handle.
In order to install the Alu-Rack on the North American version of the ZX14 (which lacks a passenger grab handle or passenger grab handle cutouts in the center tail cover) you must also purchase the European version of the tail cover panel, which already has these cutouts.
The Kawasaki part number for the European rear cover panel is 36040-0059, with color codes as follows:

The European-style center tail covers are available from any authorized Kawasaki dealer; list Kawasaki price is $60.62 each. We also offer them through our website for clients that are not located near a Kawasaki dealer.
The Alu-Rack is available in a black powder coated finish and includes basic diagram-type instructions which have small amounts of English and German text.

More than $517! Case, rack, rack adapter, zx14 rear cover panel, and I didn't add the costs for a desired passenger backrest or color cover lid panel.
