The Givi E250 plate can be attached to many flat original rear racks like this OEM rear luggage rack for the '07- Triumph Tiger 1050. Givi cases weigh about 11 to 13 lbs EMPTY; do NOT exceed the weight rating of your original rack when using the E250!

Universal E-series adapter plate designed to add a Givi Monokey topcase to most existing flat rear luggage racks.
All necessary mounting hardware and installation diagram for attachment to generic tubular-steel flat rear luggage racks is included; however, installation on some topracks may require some creativity, mechanical skill, and a trip to the hardware store.
This plate cannot be used if your bike does not already have an existing flat rear luggage rack.
Typically installs quickly using simple hand tools. Mounts standard Givi Monokey topcases (ie E45 Elegant, E460 Delux, E52 Maxia), or the flat, stable surface can be used as a solid toprack when the topcase is not needed. Not for use with GIVI Monolock topcases. Made of durable molded nylon with a rugged black finish.

Also fits many Harley-Davidson & metric cruiser motorcycles with an existing rear luggage rack (weight rating of luggage rack should be 20lbs or greater).
Givi E-series topcase racks are for use with Givi Monokey topcases ONLY and are NOT compatible with Givi Monolock topcases.

To bolt the Givi E250 you would need a SW-MOTECH Steel-Rack Toprack. The surface of the OEM toprack has a concave shape that will distort the Givi E250 plate and not allow you to properly seat the Givi Monokey topcase. If you put the SW-MOTECH Steel-Rack Toprack onto the R1200GS then you can use either the Givi E250 or the Givi Monokey adapter hardware that is more affordable and has a cleaner look when the case is off of the bike.
