BMW R1200R (standard edition) without BMW rear rack or sidecases. If your bike looks like this, use an SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack to add a Coocase or Givi topcase to your bike.
Adapter kit allows installation of Coocase S28, V28, V36, and S48 topcases on the BMW R1200RT and R1200R with original BMW rear luggage rack.
This item fits the following bikes:
o R1200RT (all models)
o R1200R with accessory BMW rear luggage rack installed
o R1200R with BMW special edition "comfort package" installed, including original rear luggage rack and BMW sidecases
This item does NOT fit:
o R1200R without any rear luggage rack installed. If you have such a bike, you will need to buy one of the of the following combinations of hardware to add a Coocase to your bike:
(1) One of BMW rear luggage racks listed above PLUS the R-BMW001-01 adapter kit listed on this page, OR
(2) An SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack for the R1200R and a Coocase-to-Alu-Rack adapter kit.
Using this adapter kit in conjunction with the adapter plate shipped with the Coocase topcase the install is quick and uses basic hand tools. No cutting, drilling, or welding of existing motorcycle components required.
