Just completed the MABDR using the modular packing system. The system worked great, everything stayed dry and secured. I carried the smaller bag inside the larger one and used on my return trip after buying more stuff. It was nice to have options. (Posted on 7/23/2018)

Well made, quality materials, evident craftsmanship. I bought this set for 3-5 day sport-touring trips on my FJ-09, with the intent of mounting them on my SW-MOTECH Alu-Rack. They fit perfectly and solidly. So far I’ve only used the D28 bag because it was the right size for a two-day trip. The bag doesn’t have integral stiffeners like the D38, and I found it awkward at first to stuff it. Packing items into smaller bags before loading them into the D28 helped the process. I’ve since ordered a sheet of 1/16-inch thick LDPE, 24 inches by 36 inches, which I trimmed to 22-1/2 inches by 36 inches. I rolled the sheet into a 22-1/2 inch long tube, inserted it into the D28 bag, and let it expand. This now makes it much easier to load the bag, doesn’t compete for much volume, and still remains flexible enough to allow loading to full capacity while enabling a triple-roll of the end flaps for guaranteed waterproofing. I really like this luggage set. The strap situation is a little 'busy' but logical when figured out. Me being a slight bit paranoid, I used 2 extra cargo straps to keep the system on the bike but it totally overkill on my part. Really good purchase! (Posted on 11/23/2017)

Have not travelled as of yet with the bags but have mounted them without issues. Excellent quality throughout. If there is anything I wished after loadining up the D38, was I wish the D28 was also rigid walled and top loading. Great product and fast delivery. (Posted on 11/16/2017)

Picked up the D66 packing system a few weeks ago and mounted it to my 2015 Versys 650 for my first weekend ride to Key West from Orlando, Fl. Mounted it up very quickly and ran into a few showers, some pretty hard on the way down and no problems with anything getting wet.
Was able to get a lot of items in these 2 bags.
* One thing I noticed is that every few stops, I checked my straps and they lost a little tension, so I just tightened them back up....I think this is my fault and I need to review how to properly adjust the straps.... Nothing ever came loose. (Posted on 10/19/2017)

I purchased this bag so that I wouldn't have to worry about a rain cover like on my other bag. It is easy to pack and to get stuff out of it at stops along my trips. I have been in some really bad rain on a couple of trips and it kept everything 100% dry. (Posted on 9/14/2017)

Just returned from a nine day 3,500+ mile ride using the DrySpec bags. First of all, our group of seven BMW RTs and one Harley, all carried extra bags as we had camping gear and clothes for an extended ride. The DrySpec had the best appearance imho as the other biked too loaded with bulky bags or too many bags to make a neat package. The attachment system seems overly simple and I worried about it, but it held up fine in high speeds, tough cross winds, and overall balance. By the third day I was able to unstrap and strap-up the bags without much hassle or taking too much time. They both have handy handles so carrying them in and out of hotels is not a problem. The bigger bag has two small pockets on the outside of the bag, but they're useless and very tight for space and only good for sticking a gas receipt or small item into. I planned my packing so that all the camping gear fit in the smaller top bag and my clothes in the bigger bag. Of course, everything stayed dry, but we did not have any really heavy rains on this trip. The only negative is that the mouth opening on the bigger bag is smaller than the width of the bag which could make getting any one item out of the bag a problem unless you know where you placed it (ie - socks lower right hand corner, shorts bottom left, etc.). Additionally, if you need something while on the road you would have to un-clip the smaller bag in order to get to the bigger bag's mouth opening. For this reason I had my change of clothes in this bag and used the saddle bags for quick grab items like rain gear, snacks, sprays, etc. Overall, I was very pleased with the system and would buy it again especially, after having the opportunity to see my riding buddies' gear as it compared to mine. I just got off a short run from souther California to San Jose. Ran into some rain and everything was dry. I used the bottom pack for my tent, sleeping bag, chair, cot, pillow, and it still had room for some small things such as flashlight etc. I call this my camping bag. It took 30 min to figure out what goes in first but it works great.

As for the top bag, it works well but I wish it was similar to the bottom in the way that you load it. It holds everything I needed and more but when I was in camp it was hard to keep things from falling out and getting dirty, or keep things separate. I did learn to put things in separate bags so it worked. I would not sent it back because of this. Overall these are great products.

I showed them to folks at the Indian dealership and they really thought they were a great add/complement to the hard bags I have on the bike. These two bags gave me the additional capacity to separate the camping from the electronics from the close from the tools. And left me room to add when I go on my trips. (Posted on 4/25/2017)

I use this for both regular camping and for moto-camping. Bulletproof stuff that locks solid to any bike. The hard-sided case alone is amazing, but the addition of the top case makes for an amazingly versatile piece. (Posted on 11/7/2016)

I purchased the D66 after much research and reading reviews. I found this combination suitable for my 09 GS122, as is also served as a comfortable backrest on a recent 3000 mile trip to Colorado. Some review complained of the top bag with the rolled ends difficulty to access all the gear. I just placed items I wouldn't need until I reached my destination in the middle, and used both ends to store items needed for quick access. It really worked well, as I did not have to unstrap it or unload anything from the top of it. I simply unsnapped the end reached in and got what I needed and closed it up. I used a grease pencil and lightly marked which items were in each end. It stayed on for the trip and cleaned up afterwards. Only change I made is I invested in a set of ROK Straps for securing the large bag. They worked well and made the initial securing a bit faster. Hopefully this review will assist others in their choice. (Posted on 8/20/2016)

I bought these bags a couple of months ago and wanted to wait on a review until I had a chance to really test them out. I had a chance to use them for an 8 day trip through New Mexico and Texas on my Triumph Bonneville. The mounting system is great, easy to install and keeps the bags tight to the bike. It also allows them to be quickly and easily removed when you get to your destination. The bags are a little stiff at first, but after a few days of packing and unpacking, they will break in nicely. As far as waterproof, they definitely passed the test. Rode through several thunderstorms and even some snow, the contents were dry as when I put them in! Highly recommend this product for its quality, durability, ease of use and for the fact that it's made in the USA! (Posted on 5/20/2015)

I used the bags on a 4 day 1,000 mile trip recently and they worked great. The opening is a little difficult to work with but to keep things dry it is worth the small issue. Love the adjustable connectors! A quality product! (Posted on 5/11/2015)

These bags rock. I mounted them horizontally across the rear seat of my new DRZ400SM on a 2,040 mile trip from MA down to VA this past week. I used the D28 primarily as a tent bag, with my tent, fly, and bag of poles loose inside. There was still space left at one end for a mess kit, a first aid kit, my owner's manual, and an extra visor for my helmet. In the D38, I had space for clothing for the week in stuff sacks, a sleeping bag, and some coffee brewing equipment. The mounting straps were easy to use and made getting the gear on and off the bike quick and painless. My gear stayed dry through several downpours and even a hailstorm on the MD/PA border. I needed to put my rain gear and my sleeping roll in an extra dry bag/stuff sack which I bungee-ed to the rear of the bike, using the bags as a mounting point. This would be a great system for a week long trip. For camping, the only other thing I would have liked is some sort of shoulder strap or way to turn it into a backpack set-up. Hiking through trails with just handles on the bags was tough. That said, in and out of motels, or parking at a rally would be perfect. Likewise, if you can pitch your tent right next to your bike, that's ideal. Everything felt very secure, and the fit and finish of the bags is excellent. Didn't hurt that they look great, too. It made my trip that much more enjoyable to have gear I could trust. Now that I'm back, I'm running the D38 on its own, lengthwise down the tail of the DRZ, as a regular bag. Since I wanted to keep the already light bike as light as possible, I feel like this was a great luggage choice and I'm incredibly happy. Also, Angela worked with me to switch up my order from D20 side bags to the D28 as a last minute solution to a backorder issue. That was the right call! Don't think I would have had as much use for the side bags unless I wanted to add them to this set up and maximize overall capacity. (Posted on 4/29/2015)

I have the D66 bags and used these travelling for over 15000 miles through more than a few showers and downpours. Never once failed me and the ease of attachment and removal to the bike is outstanding. Contents are available without removal from the bike and transporting is easy when detached. Only drawback is the outside zipped pocket could be a bit roomier to store paperwork or casha nd change. (Posted on 3/3/2015)

Bought this for my KTM990 instead of a rear top case (at more than 1/2 less the cost) and glad i did.
Already had the D28's which are perfect on top of my Zega Pro pannier lids. With this system i can organize all my riding/ camping gear in separate bags and not waste time digging through conventional dry bags to retrieve one item. High quality construction and the orange looks great too . (Posted on 2/21/2015)

After reading a TON of reviews, I chose this bag system. First thing I noticed is that there is a massive amount of storage space. If you need more than this, along with your bike's storage, you're taking too much. These bags are very heavy weight and so are fairly stiff. This makes loading a little difficult, but I'll happily trade ease of loading for durability. The strap system that Dryspec uses is really neat and seems secure. I'm paranoid, so the Rok straps go around too for security. Probably don't need it. My only wish for something more might be to add some sort of external pocket that can be accessed easily on the road. There really is nothing other than a REALLY small and tight pocket.

Best of all, the two tone grey looks good on my bike. (Posted on 9/18/2014)
