LOUD! Stylish! Rugged!

Producing an earsplitting 120 decibels of sound, the SoundBomb is 4 times louder than a standard motorcycle horn! The Denali™ SoundBomb was designed for those who want to be heard, but still want to maintain a stylish look. Thanks to its compact design and blacked-out housing, the SoundBomb will practically disappear once installed.

DENALI SoundBomb: Can You Hear Us Now?

The unique design of the Denali compact horn features a rugged molded clamp that mechanically mates the compressor to the acoustic unit. This makes the SoundBomb virtually indestructible even in high vibration applications. Compatible with all CANbus electrical systems.

Specifications:

  • Sound Output: 120 dB at 3 feet
  • Current Draw: 20 Amp
  • Dimensions: 5.4” (137mm) wide x 4.5” (116mm) high x 3.6” (86 mm) deep
  • Stylish All Black Design
  • CANbus compatible

Included:

  • Single Piece Electro-Pneumatic Horn
  • 12 volt, 30 amp relay

*Bike specific mounting bracket and wiring harness sold separately.

Note:

  • All necessary mounting hardware is included with the horn to mount to an existing M8 thru hole. For some motorcycle models bike-specific mounting brackets are available.
  • The horn should be mounted so that the cylinder is vertical with the horn facing down. There should be no more than a 25 degree variance from the vertical position.

Fitment note:

KTM Motorcycles: The CAN bus system found on most KTM motorcycles is extremely sensitive. Its recommended that you leave the OEM horn connected for proper operation and to prevent failure lights from appearing on the dash.

BMW Motorcycles: All modern BMW motorcycles use a specialty connector at the OEM horn connection. A DENALI Horn Wiring Adapter is necessary for plug-n-play connection with BMW Motorcycles and is available for purchase (P/N:DNL.WHS.10100). Alternatively you can use the Posi-Tap connectors to make the connection

Drivers used to text while driving will think twice before doing it again once you've admonished them with your Denali horn! A must have!
It can be difficult to find a spot for it given its size, especially on modern bikes that are so tightly packed. (Posted on 8/4/2019)

This is not a knock on the product itself, just a warning to anyone considering Denali’s Soundbomb Compact for their late model BMW R1200GS Adventure with the factory low suspension option. Clearly, Denali engineers did not have the factory low suspension variant in mind when designing the mounting bracket. As noted in the attached photo of my 2018 R1200GSA (low), there is only 2” of clearance between the A-arm bolt cover and horn. This setup couldn’t survive a drop off a curb much less even mild to moderate off-road use. Worse, when the A-arm strikes (and breaks) the horn, it’s likely to bend the mounting bracket and tilt the horn into the path of the forks, thus restricting their movement. I can’t envision any potential solution to this problem for the low suspension model other than going to a “split” setup or perhaps the SoundBomb Mini. I absolutely love the integration of my D4 driving lights, B6 brake light and SoundBomb horn with the CanSmart Controller, and I went to great lengths to hide all of the wiring harnesses (which necessitated removal of all plastic bodywork and fuel tank). Sadly, though, the SoundBomb Compact horn must be removed for safety concerns before I’ve even had a chance to use it out on the road. (Posted on 7/16/2019)

Used to sound like the roadrunner. Now I sound like the train that squashes the coyote. Wiring harness is a high quality item and the Concours 14 mounting bracket was just perfect for a 2008 model. Hardest part of the install was getting that stupid nut inside the battery terminal to meet the bolt. (Posted on 9/28/2018)

I just finished installing the Denali Soundbomb air horn using the Denali plug-n-play wiring harness and the mounting bracket made that fits my 2015 Triumph Tiger Explorer. Horn sounds great but installation was a bit of a pain. I previously installed an air horn on another bike several years ago and was glad to have the memory of that project because the instructions that came with the Denali wiring harness kit and air horn were minimal at best. I also had the 30 amp relay that came with the horn go bad after the first time I tried the horn - fortunately I had an old relay in the garage so I could wrap up the project. I am not an electrical whiz by any standards but the lack of detailed directions leaves a lot to chance unless you have at least some basic experience with bike wiring projects. (Posted on 9/23/2018)

My son and I each installed these on our bikes. They are so poorly made that the compressor fills with water if you wash the bike or ride in the rain. Both units failed, and although I appreciate that twisted throttle replaced them, the fact remains that this horn cannot be depended upon. Mine has crapped out again even though I sealed the compressor. Avoid this product- it's just not worth the risk. (Posted on 8/13/2018)

Bought and installed this “Soundbomber” for it’s 124db sound rating and my riding safety on the street, roads and freeways. My first one was for my 2017

I was and am so impressed with the quality and loudness, that I had to get a second Denali SoundBomb Compact Dual Air Horn to install on my 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4. Wow! I was not disappointed it installed and works flawlessly! (I highly recommend purchasing and using the wiring kit too!) (Posted on 7/30/2018)

Bought the Denali Sound SoundBomb Compact for my 2012 BMW K1600GTL. returned the wiring harness with the relay since I already have installed the HexEZ Can and was happy to receive the simple wiring kit to run to the existing connections. Its a tight fit and required just a little fiddling. but easily took more time removing and replacing the tupperware, than installing the horn. This horn is the BOMB. Loud as HECK. Made three people shout an expletive in my garage the first time I pushed the button. Perfect! I might add that I have the Denali lights and mounts on my GTL that integrate with the "wonder wheel". They not flash when I honk the horn. AMAZING ADDITIONAL CONSPICUITY! (Posted on 7/17/2018)

Now if the cage drivers could only stop texting and driving the roads would be much safer. Practice defensive riding is all I can say. Anyway, great product I just wish that the bike manufacturers would equip all the bikes with similar horns! Cheers (Posted on 6/18/2018)

This is now the second Dinali sound bomb I have purchased. Both of them from twisted throttle. There is a dual horn in these units, and after a while one of the horns stops working and you get a single sound rather than a dual sound. I figured it just broken and I’ll just buy another one. I did, and it worked fine to start with as well, but now the dual tone is gone and I just have a single town. I am not happy with this purchase. (Posted on 6/8/2018)

am still sitting here in astonishment a little over an hour after beginning to install a Denali compact Sound bomb on my 2014 DL1000, that I have a perfectly installed ear piercing horn. I bought the Denali horn, a model specific mounting bracket for the bike, and a plug and play harness that was bike specific from Twisted Throttle. After all the horror stories I have read on here, the cobbled together wiring, the ungrounding grounds, etc, to say I was hesitant to start would be an understatement. But after laying the parts out on my work table, I thought, well..this looks simple enough. It was literally as simple as removing seat, taking 2 screws out of the left lower tank cover and popping the cover loose, not even removing it. Then after locating horn which is sticking out right under the front beak, I removed horn, the wiring harness harness has a wire with two connectors that I fished along under frame and panels right up to over the original horn mount and plugged right in to the original horn wire connectors.

Next I mounted horn on the mounting bracket which bolted with one bolt on back side of top engine mount, then bolted the horn to the bracket.. .absolutely rock solid....then plugged the second wire from the wiring harness to the bottom of the Denali horn....that simple.....tie wrapped the two wire to secure them at several locations....thats it!!! Snapped left side panel back in place and replaced the two screws that secure it. Now all I did was plug the supplied relay, right into the wiring harness and secured it with tie wraps in the pocket right behind battery, then ran the last two wire, the fused positive and the negative wire right around to battery, tightened them down, tidied up everything with a few tie wraps.....turned on the ignition, hit the horn button....and woke up my wife that was upstairs asleep, that came running wanting to know what the world was going on.....like I say, I am still sitting here in disbelief that it was that simple...no wire cutting, no splicing, nothing. Plug in four plugs, a relay, and connect to battery....it was really that simple....kudos to Twisted Throttle!!!! (Posted on 6/7/2018)

I was using a screaming banshee before both have the same loudness. I changed to Denali after changing bike. Denali housing is made of plastic my other was a mix of metal and plastic so the metal ended up spotted with rust. This made me go with Denali over the other brand. The only thing I miss from my screeming banshee was that you could keep your regular horn on a time delay. When you don't need to go fully loud you could set it for 1/4 or 1/2 second before the loud one kicks in. Gave 4* due to not having a time delay. (Posted on 4/21/2018)

The SoundBomb is an excellent aftermarket improvement. I got this one for my wife's 650. As a first time rider, wanted her to "grab" traffics attention when needed. Denali does the job. Price was great for an air horn, hook up was simple, my problem was mounting. The horn only provided me with one mounting point (not very stable). I made a custom bracket, which provided a 3 point mounting system. (Posted on 4/10/2018)

After initially mounting the horn in a ridiculous location between the forks of my triumph rocket 3, forgetting the fact that the front wheel goes up and down, and wondering why the mount I had made had been bent out of shape, I finally located the unit of the side of the engine casing safely out of harms way.
the unit is well made, heavier than expected, but with a sturdy home made mount rides nicely and remains in place. I also bought the do it yourself wiring kit which was fine, I just needed to extend the power suppy wire to the horn.
the horn works fine, as yet had no assassins to try it out on, but I know the time will come. (Posted on 3/8/2018)

I bought this for a 2017 R1200GS. You need a good sense of 3-dimensional spatial geometry to get it oriented so that it does not interfere with the turn of the forks *and* so that you can then tighten the horn to the mounting bracket and the bracket to the bike! But once done it certainly does the job of getting cagers' attention.
NOTE - if you plan to wire it yourself, you will likely want flag connectors and not straight connectors. (Posted on 3/8/2018)

I installed this on a 2007 KTM 525 EXC. I mounted it under my rear ProMoto rack on the LH Side of the Bike. Prior to installation and mounting, I wanted to test the Sound BOMB.....to assure it was functioning. I was holding the BOMB in my left hand, unit was already grounded. I touched the power wire too it and ..........It jumped right out of my hand and I started to run for the door. It scared the begeebees out of me. LOUD !! Loud!! LoUd !!!! All mounted and hooked up now.
It is Awesome. Do Not install this without the relay unless you want to fry your circuits. It has a high amp draw. I am all giggles every time I hit the horn. Just me on my little motorcycle, and the folks that deserve the horn are looking for a Semi Truck. hehehhe.........8o). (Posted on 3/5/2018)

The horn functions fine. The actual wiring harness has a serious flaw. I contacted TT for advice on how to route the harness which did not require pulling the gas tank. The problem is with the relay which on three occasions failed due to bike vibrations causing the relay prongs to disconnect enough to cause the horn not to function and needing road side repairs. Solution: Rewire the harness with a sealed relay, royal PITA, but now the horn functions as it should. (Posted on 12/26/2017)

Bought this for my wife's 09 KLR mostly driven in the city. I wired it myself with a relay powered and fused from the battery, switched off the stock horn wiring. I used the KLR bracket offered. The bracket is super simple, but it is precisely built and comes with good hardware. The bracket places the horn behind the right fender with the horn facing out. It's a tight fit but it fits.
The horn is loud enough to overpower a stock car/truck horn and is easily heard inside a nearby vehicle at freeway speeds.
I'd recommend it, and will probably install on my bike too. (Posted on 10/23/2017)

I purchased the Denali Sound Bomb a few weeks ago and had my moto tech install it for me. I LOVE it! It performs exactly as the specs indicate and I'm very satisfied with the purchase. It replaced my wimpy-sounding OEM horn, which was loud enough but ....wimpy (think Roadrunner..."beep-beep!") It's mounted to the top of my left highway bar and faces forward. There wasn't any other reasonable location for it. No problems at all with water intrusion. A comparable horn with dual trumpets for my Harley Electra-Glide cost 4 X the amount of this horn. I have put a Sound bomb now on every motorcycle I have owned. Can't say for sure how many times it has saved my butt! Lots

First off forget the old adage "loud pipes save lives"

Sound Bomb saves lives!!!!

When you press the horn button you sound like an 18 wheeler instead of a motorcycle. This immediately gets you the reaction you want. Which is get the $&& away from me. Toot once and you get a heads up from a driver at an intersection. Let's face it the stock horn on all bikes makes you sound like a scooter and does not convey an immediate need for evasive action by a cars driver. (Posted on 7/15/2017)

This horn is incredibly loud. Like something from a big old American car so it stands out from the typical car horn. Way better than any other motorcycle horn options I've heard. I highly recommend TT's custom mounting bracket (the two versions I have work perfectly...Super Tenere and Tiger 800, strong and solid mount in a relatively inconspicuous and tip-over safe location). The pre-made wiring harness makes connecting everything very simple. (Posted on 7/6/2017)

I recently purchased the Denali SoundBomb Compact Dual-Tone Air Horn and have to say it was a great addition to my bike! After being cut off one too many times, the need to make others 'aware' of my presence on the road became clear. The factory horn on my 2015 Suzuki VStrom 1000 was sadly lacking in this ability (as is the case for most factory horns), but at 4 or 5 times the dB output the new addition works very well!

I went with the wiring harness and accessory bracket for my bike as well. This made for a simple installation and factory look when completed. With the harness, most people can probably complete this install within an hour or two. I spent a little more time to neatly route/strap the harness for a factory look and secure the hardware (Loctite, etc.).

Twisted Throttle was great to deal with and I received the shipment on schedule with no damage. I will purchase from them in the future. (Posted on 3/29/2017)

I bought this a week ago for my 2013 Triumph Tiger Explorer. I used the recommended relay/wiring kit and the bike specific mount. The directions were straight forward and easy to understand. The bike specific mount is designed to be bolted to the lower right radiator mount. This location won't work if your Explorer has Triumph factory engine crash bars. There simply isn't enough room. After careful examination of all possible mounting locations I mounted the horn to the lower front edge of the engine. I used the original horn bracket, bent it to 90 degrees, and bolted that to a factory drilled hole on the front of the engine. Its solid and after a week of riding on and off road is holding strong. I also installed 1/4" heat shrink tube over the red wire leading from the relay to the positive on the bottom of the horn. The wire is much less visible and the heat shrink tubing adds protection against possible abrasion. I may install some fiberglass insect screen over the horn openings to prevent any debris from entering.
I love the sound of the horn. I wouldn't consider it ear piercing, but it is very loud and cars do hear it in traffic. It has a European sound which I like. Overall quality of the unit is very good. I would definitely recommend it. (Posted on 1/23/2017)

I have been in the Los Angeles metro area for a few years and the road runner horn that came stock on my 2015 KLR 650 does not compare to this air horn. The situation is that I have no desire to run the bike above 95mph and the intensity of this horn at all speeds below 95 is loud enough to penetrate closed windows which is important when the cagers do not see you. For the suburban areas this has a loud enough coverage to throw the sound prior to you reaching the intersection which I have had to use more then once. For the rural areas this is loud enough to be heard from a distance when going around large farming equipment you are trying to pass on the road just to give the operator a heads up you are coming around them. I would recommend this product for any bike in any location.

I will warn you that using it consecutively will leave your ears ringing for longer then you expected. (Posted on 11/26/2016)

I am happy that I purchased the horn. Very easy to install without the wire harness and connected with some ease to the existing wiring. I fabricated a custom aluminum mount to mitigate some of the vibration my KLR650 gives off and to have it in an area where it couldn't be tampered with. The only issue I did have is the horn got stuck in the ON position and with it being so loud it was quite embarrassing. After researching the issue it turned out to be the relay. If you disconnect the horns power wire you can clearly hear the relay click open and close. When it clicks open and stuck I tapped it and it closed. I have tried the horn regularly (in the garage) since then and I haven't had an issue. Other than that I am still happy with my purchase. (Posted on 10/11/2016)

Everything fitted well except the harness was a bit long but it wasn't a problem since the extra cable length was shorten using cable ties.
After installation, the 1st time the horn produced an 'air rushing' noise. Checked out other installations on the Internet and realised that the connections at the horn was backwards even though the instructions showed otherwise.
Otherwise the horn is loud and its great seeing drivers being surprised.. no regrets! (Posted on 9/26/2016)

This is a great horn, it is really loud, although a bit of a challenge to mount. I also received the wrong horn initially due to some confusing info on the website but Twisted Throttle sent me the correct one promptly and provided easy free return shipping of the wrong one. (Posted on 9/20/2016)

I am very happy with the sound bomb, I also got the special KLR bracket and the wiring harness. This made the install very simple. The horn sounds like a train and can be heard a long distance away. A 1000% improvement over the stock KLR horn that was very weak! (Posted on 9/15/2016)

Installed the Denali soundbomb on my 2014 Honda NC700X with the Denali NC700X specific mounting bracket. About a one hour install as I used heat shrink tubing on all of my wire harness, (self made). Relay, harness and horn all look like a factory install. Tucks in real nice with my Givi crash bars! Is it loud? Heck ya! Definitely gets drivers attention. Just had a memorial service for the stock horn, then 86'd it! (Posted on 9/11/2016)

Was hoping that this product would be loud and effective. Have received 2 units and both were poor at best. Registered as 95db on phone (not perfectly scientific I understand) standing right next to it, but definitely not what was advertised, both units the dual horns were intermittent and sometimes didn't work at all. Used Denali wiring harness and tried 2 relays with no success. TT was good about sending replacement for one that didn't work however the second one didn't work either. Don't waste your money. I installed this on my 2016 Can Am Spyder RT Limited. The stock horn, as is on most bikes; is fairly week and because Can Ams run so quitely, I needed something to get the attention of cagers who love to text and drive. Installation was easy using the stock wiring and mount (the relay wasn't needed). All I can say is wow! Loud. The difference is like night and day. Just what I needed. (Posted on 6/13/2016)

I bought this and received it a couple of weeks ago. Very easy to fit and it is far louder than the standard horn as expected, after watching the You Tube video about the Soundbomb from Twisted Throttle. I have already used it twice in anger due to car drivers doing dumb things in traffic, I'm sure, with their brains disengaged from the task of actually driving! The Soundbomb got their immediate attention!! (Posted on 5/26/2016)

I purchased this to replace the sad and almost inaudible stock horn on my 2010 Honda NT700V. What a huge difference this has made! I don't frequently use my horn, but there are times when it is a good safety feature to let other drivers know you're around, especially if they don't see you. I've only had it on my bike for a few months, so I don't know how it will hold up in the long run, but the sound output is incredible (plus it sounds more like a sport car horn than a stock pipsqueak moped horn!)

I did the installation completely by myself and the only issue was finding a bracket that would work for where I wanted to mount the horn, because my bike is heavily faired. Some of the fairing in the final horn location had to be discreetly cut to accommodate the horn (it's 3-4 times bigger than the stock horn). I did have to buy additional terminals (I botched a few in the kit and needed extra) and wire as what was included in the kit was far too short (I ran the horn from just above my front wheel all the way back to the battery). Installation was pretty easy, as long as you have a basic knowledge of wiring diagrams and wiring components. (Posted on 5/25/2016)

This horn is under 2 tears old and has developed numerous cracks. Pieces of the ABS are missing and the compressor section is loose. I found this while changing my rear tire. Very surprised. My Royal

I already had Denali D2 and D4 lights installed so I knew I could be seen coming with those bright lights but I also wanted to be heard. With the stock horn, I couldn't hear it with my helmet on and hardly with it off. I looked at all the reviews and decided on the Denali SoundBomb Compact Dual-Tone Air Horn because of the quality of the Denali lights. Because of my strange application, I made my own bracket and wiring harness without any problem. The horn is loud...I mean LOUD! Money well spent. I'm happy. (Posted on 5/11/2016)

this is the 3rd "Stebel" style horn I have installed on various vehicles. A Nissan pickup, a 30 year old Gold Wing and now in this version on my 2014 V-Strom 1000. On the other vehicles it really did save me in at least 3 situations. It is crazy, stupid loud. That is what you want on a bike. The stock horn on my Strom was there to pass inspection, it served NO other purpose. Get this, it is a piece of safety equipment. I used the bracket that TT sells, makes mounting easier. I put the relay right where the old horn was and ran other wiring accordingly. Works great, looks fine. (Posted on 5/3/2016)

I received the Denali SoundBomb at Christmas for my Super Tenere (after 'suggesting' it would be appreciated). Received the horn, bike specific mounting bracket as well as the wiring harness. Installation was fairly straightforward, with the only issues being how and where to route the various wires (I like my farkle wiring to be neat). Since I have the SW Motech crashbars, I had to 'rotate' the bracket counterclockwise slightly, so rather than using the provided hole in the bracket, I used the 'notch' that is in the bracket. No problem, though. Once installed, I am very happy with the location, look and most of all, sound of this little unit. It is LOUD! Great addition for safety purposes. (Posted on 1/11/2016)

This thing is crazy loud, watch the Twisted Throttle video product review. No joke this is the loudest horn I have heard on any "normal" vehicle. I am thinking about getting one for my lifted F150, and it would not be out of place. I have "played" with it a bit on the open road away from traffic, you will know if you get in my way. And I used it once in an emergency situation and the auto quickly adjusted course before there was a real problem. If you ride in traffic, must have.
I did buy the specific make/model bike mount bracket, which I suggest. I also purchased the wiring harness, which is not necessary but make it that much easier to install. I'm at a point in life where I don't mind a few bucks to spend less time monkeying with something and more time riding. (Posted on 10/16/2015)

Bought the Denali Soundbomb compact and then realised there was nowhere to fit it underneath all the plastic tuppaware. Guys at Twisted Throttle were great and agreed to ship the split Denali Sound bomb out to me in Australia instead of the compact unit. The split system is easy to install using the stock wiring loom which I highly recommend you purchase as it makes wiring dead easy. Remove handlebar covers, glovebox' and radiator screen. Zip tie horn to frame on right side opposite the factory fitted horn (note fit rubber tube before mounting the horn body). Mount compressor horizontally alongside aluminium ignition key to steering head fixture using zip ties. You will find that it is a pertfect fit in this location when wiring end is facing rider. Connect tube between compressor and horn and complete wiring to instructions. The split Denali Soundbomb is the perfect fit for a Suzuki Bergman AN 650.and I reccomend it highly. I will never ride with a factory-fitted horn now i have tried this great product. (Posted on 6/16/2015)

The directions were easy to follow, the correct wiring components were included, and it sounds great! It was tricky to find a good place to mount the horn, so I had to call Twisted Throttle to get more specific directions - they told me where it was easy to mount, but some bike-specific example photos included in the kit would've been nice. All in all, quite happy with the purchase.

There are a-lot of things I love about this product. When I first received it from Twisted Throttle, I was very surprised about the weight. I was afraid that since it wasn't excessively heavy, the durability might not be there. I was wrong. I mounted it up, and was unable to detect any significant weight differential after adding the horn. I would not allow the weight to play into your decision making process. Look at the size and mounting position for your specific model of bike. Keep in mind that if you have aftermarket engine guards or crash bars on your bike, there may be an issue with mounting it up as originally designed. I have the SW-MOTECH engine guards on my 2013 Yamaha Super Tenere. I was able to rotate the bracket slightly counter clockwise and shifted the horn slightly up and back enough that it mounted up fine. The volume of this horn is the superstar here. However, the thing that adds to the pure awesomeness of the volume, is the directional factor of the way the horn was manufactured and the mounting position on my Super Tenere. I love that the horn mounted on the right side of the bike, as it is closest to the driver's side of a vehicle, should the driver need to be made aware that they are "driving skills challenged". The sound is projected at a 90 degree angle from my bike. Overall, I think every motorcyclist should consider this product, as it's a "game changer" on the road.
(Posted on 8/6/2014)
