Review by LC4C
I ride early morning almost every Sunday, often in very chilly temperatures. I'd had my last pair of pants for about five or six years and thought it was time to treat myself to a really top notch pair. After an obsessive search through the various brands I decided on the Klim Latitude pants. I wasn't interested in either a removable rain or insulated liner. I've always managed with warm base layers and never felt that the waterproof membrane were uncomfortable unless the temps were very high. 5:30 AM rides rarely are.
The Latitudes are just a great rugged, comfortable, well armored, extremely well made pant that may very well be the last pair I'll ever need to buy. They are fairly heavy, though not more so than a couple of other pairs I've had. The zippers and snaps are top notch, the fabric is beautiful and the leather inside the knee area is sweet.
The other feature that doesn't get much mention is the waist is fairly low cut in the front. It's very comfortable when on the bike and leaning forward. If you've got a bit up front you'll appreciate it. Waist adjusters work well. I can't yet comment on the waterproofness as I've been on a streak of dry Sundays so far this spring. They are pricey but each time I put them on I'm glad I made the investment.
Lastly, I am 5'9" and a 35" waist. I bought a size 36 and they fit perfectly. (Posted on 5/2/2016)
