Everything about this windshield on a Concours 14 is excellent. I have a National Cycle V-Stream as well, and I like the MRA much more. The low-pressure pocket of air when fully raised pulls you in much less than the V-Stream did. It is much sturdier than the V-Stream and doesn't flap around. And the spoiler when extended creates a nice area of lightly turbulent wind that doesn't buffet your helmet, much different from the flow of air on the other windshields I've tried. There are times I wish I'd bought the taller version, and maybe I will do that still. But I'd only really want it when spending most of the day on the interstate and trying to listen to audiobooks. For riding 55-70 MPH, this is ideal. (Posted on 9/28/2018)

Just completed 2 trips in the past month using the Vario Screen. With the stock screen I could never get a smooth airflow - the Vario is comfortable in a variety of settings and the quality build is evident. Took 5 minutes to install. (Posted on 9/24/2018)

Easy install, looks better than the clear visor. Still has a little bit of buffering at higher speeds but overall is good (Posted on 5/13/2018)

Had it for a year now. With the spoiler and screen fully down it's lower than OEM and looks great. Full up on screen and spoiler creates a way better flow (I'm 5'10"). I deploy the spoiler for longer trips only. The vents are the best part - taking away the negative pressure and relieving the wrists a lot. Smoke great looks awesome and is super easy to install. The bike on the left. (Posted on 8/29/2017)

Works as advertised. My only gripe as that at 6' with a 34" inseam, it's incredibly loud. (Posted on 8/1/2017)

I will start by saying that the windshield looks great on the bike (Smoked gray on a black Concours14). However, I bought this hoping for two things: a quieter ride and improved airflow. I definitely feel the improved airflow, but the wind noise is only slightly improved.

At speeds greater than about 40mph, if the shield is all the way up with the secondary deflector in it's highest position, I get mostly smooth air. (If I want quiet in this shield position, I must have my helmet completely behind the shield.[which is not comfortable for long distances]).

At speeds greater than about 40mph, in the lowest position, the air is much smoother, but the wind noise is greater. If I lift off from the seat 4-6 inches, I can get my helmet into the much smoother and nearly silent air.

So, overall the windshield is capable of creating smoother airflow, but the wind noise is only reduced slightly from my previous windshield (cut down factory windshield).

For reference, I am 5 foot 11 inches tall. I also have 2 inch risers on handlebars with the stock seat. (Posted on 7/10/2017)

I replaced my OEM windshield for MRA VarioTouring. I was impressed with this high in quality European German upgrade. It really does its work when fully extracted. Buffing zone is the way better with this upgrade. A little play with upper flap adjustment depends on your height. Secondary, during the summer heat if windshield in lower position it provides nice wind flow to decrease the heat. It is really great solution if hot summer ride is your concern. OEM windshield is probably too large and does not provide enough cooling.I also admire the look of this nice windscreen. I am happy with this upgrade. (Posted on 4/27/2017)

I'm very happy with the purchase. Appearance is much better than the stock screen on my 2012 C14, and all buffeting is gone. With the small vent openings in the screen body, the negative pressure pulling you foreword with the stock screen in the highest position is gone. Very good wind protection in the upper position, but will allow more wind flow in the warmer months when lowered, than the OEM screen. (Posted on 2/8/2016)

I happened to test ride an older 1400 with the Add-on (I'm very tall) and was simply stunned at how much it improved the ride. I insisted on the add-on when I bought a more powerful (dual Muzzies & Power Command, etc.) GTR. Anyone over 6' must buy one. (Posted on 1/21/2016)

I have to admit the screen looks much cooler than OEM, especially in smoked grey. I am however disappointed that wind noise has not changed, in fact it may be louder in its lowest setting. The biggest improvement is when raised to full height, the two open slots in the shield do a great job of creating a calm pocket of air; unlike the OEM that pulls you forward. Quality is impressive, looks great and it takes just 5 minutes to install it. Just don't expect all wind noise to vanish unless you tend to keep it raised. for reference i am 5'-6" (Posted on 1/4/2016)

Have tried large and small stock, V Stream and now MRA. MRA is a revelation. Bike is WAY more fun to ride. Shield lets wind in, but it is smooth and without buffeting. Shield is small so you can see and it makes the bike FEEL lighter somehow. Shield works better the faster you go too. Best add-on bang for the buck you can get. (Posted on 7/29/2015)

i changed my handlebars for helibars horizon model. My stock windshield was not protecting my helmet anymore because of the new position . I ordered the MRA vario. Does not fit. Too low even worst than the stock one. Nice Quality. But not for me. If any one want a buy a brand new MRA vario for concours14. get in touch with me. (Posted on 6/11/2015)

Just replaced the large National V-Stream which I've been using for 5 years with the MRA VarioTouring. While I'm happy with the V-Stream over the years, it does have downsides that bothered me somewhat under specific circumstances. Immediate difference I got from the new MRA was the ability to channel cool fresh air to the rider so I do not feel stuffy hiding behind the windscreen, especially on long rides. The variable lip seems to allow air to be directed at different heights so this should come in handy to eliminate the buffeting experienced whenever I have a pillion, the biggest problem I get from the National V-Stream. Will be finding out about this feature when my next long ride is coming up next month. The V-Stream flexes a lot at speeds above 125 mph. Sometimes I wonder if it would break my cowling. Due to its smaller size, there was no flexing at all at that speed for the VarioTouring, what was better was that I did not get the buffeting that affected the rider as I did on my V-Stream at that speed. Will find out if this remains true at 150 mph. (Posted on 3/17/2015)

I purchased this windshield after getting advice from my COG Owner's Group and I love the look of the windshield, the light tint gives it a nice appearance. The spoiler gives it a very upscale look, now with looks aside it is very well made and pushes the air just where I need it, no loud noise or back pressure is evident, very well pleased. After much searching for reviews for this model windscreen, and not really getting many responses, I took a chance and purchased it off the one review that was on here. Well, sometimes the first person gets it right. Awesome screen!!! Quiet and reduced turbulence, plus it looks amazing. (Posted on 11/27/2014)

gets the job done well enough in summer, nice buffting of wind very good, would be more useful in cooler temps with a higher shield. Took a little getting use too, improved mpg (Posted on 7/31/2013)
