This Rear Tire Hugger is suitable for Triumph Tiger 800 & 800XC. Made of 6mm thick Polypropylene for a fantastic and durable look, feel and performance. Not tested with aftermarket knobby tires.

Design Update: June 14, 2011 Updates have been made to increase durability and fit adjustments have been made to allow fitment on the XC model. It is about ½ inch shorter, it’s made of thicker (6mm - was 3mm) & new material (Polypropylene was acrylic-capped ABS), which is unbreakable. It has reinforced mounting points. This improved hugger has an extra mounting mechanism at the front of the swingarm – hook & loop fastener. R&G had some breakage problems but R&G has quickly reacted to fix this issue. After extensive product testing on the bumpiest roads with full luggage and heavy riders (one month and 2,000 miles for one bike, and one month and 1,500 miles for the other) they are confident that this combination of fixes make this the best rear hugger for the Triumph Tiger 800 & Tiger 800XC on the market.

I just installed mine, and there is a significant fitment issue. The hugger appear to fit great, when looking from the left side of the bike. The right side, however, it extremely close to the tire (I can't even fit a finger in between). I used the spacers which came with the hugger, and tried tightening down the deadbolts with the hugger as far over to the right as possible. There is still a good 1/2" of the tire showing on the right side. I even installed an additional plastic spacer underneath the rear brake line clamp (swing-arm rear location). I just can't seem to tweak this thing to be centered, with a consistent gap from the rear tire to the hugger. Please see pics.

I'm kind of bummed; I read so many great reviews from people, saying how great this hugger is, as well as how easy the installation was. Installation was easy, but the fitment looks like garbage (at least with my experience). How disappointing, and what a waste of my time. (Posted on 1/29/2015)

Found this on the internet, recommended by my son. Nice product that looks good and fits perfectly. Easy to install. A little expensive for a piece of plastic, but good product for keeping the underside of my bike clean. (Posted on 8/25/2014)

you didn't have to move the chain guard over to install it. It mounts between the chain guard and the swing arm so it moves the chain guard over just enough that the chain isn't 100 percent covered. I don't know what they could do to the design, but it'd be nice if it fit over the chain guard so the guard stayed in its original location. Despite that drawback, its a quality item and fits well and does the job. (Posted on 7/7/2014)

I agree with Tony 100%. This fender is strong, fits perfect and looks fantastic with the stock chain guard. It seems a bit pricey, but it is very good quality! (Posted on 2/3/2013)

Just bolted this hugger on the 2012 Tiger and its very well made, thick. Bolts on easily with the hugger fitting over the wheel very well. This hugger is much better than others due to it using stock mounting locations and no brackets. Also, the stock mud guard is kept. (Posted on 1/19/2013)
