Approximate heating capacity (battery specs = starting with full charge)

Power Level Run Time
High 1 hour
Medium 2.5 hours
Low 4 hours
Connected to Bike Battery Unlimited

* Run time may varry depending on outdoor temperature. Very cold weather causes battery capacity to decrease. Insulation of battery pack will help to increase battery capacity, at leass than 32 degrees Fahrenheit, a battery may only produce 80% of its capacity.

You'll at least need one single temperature controller or on/off switch for each person on the bike using Gerbings clothing (sold separately).

A dual temperature controller allows a single person to have two articles of clothing at different temperature settings (like a jacket and gloves).

One single or dual controller can be used to connect all the clothing a single person can wear (gloves, insoles, pants, & jacket) to the motorcycle. If you are using a single controller to control both a jacket AND gloves simultaneously, you'll need to purchase a splitter to use with your single controller.

I have used these now on a few cool and cold rides. You really need a dual controller as they need a lower setting than the jacket. These are closeouts I guess as "Gerbings" reinvents itself yet again as Gyde (another warranty disappearance?). Well made and set up for either stand alone batteries (not available most places) or connected to wired harness. (Posted on 11/19/2015)

I put off getting these gloves for a while because the gloves, charger and the batteries seemed like a bit too much when I could just use my heated grips that cost 20 bucks. Anyone who has ridden in the cold with heated grips will tell you how cold the back of their hand gets, so I got some Hippo Hands and the combo of those two was nice, but I didn't like how they restricted my movement, especially if I wanted to stand up while riding off road. So I got these gloves and they are GREAT! They have kept my hands dry and warm riding in cold rain. I haven't hooked them up to the bike yet, but plan to for more options. They are nice and warm even on the low setting and the batteries last for hours. I haven't run them out yet, but I charge them every other day. 1 tip though, when you get these gloves you can tuck part of the wires into a pocket inside the glove between the battery pocket and where your hand goes. That will make more sense if you are looking at them. I strongly recommend these to people who ride year round and another bonus is that they are great for wearing when you are snowboarding!
