The D20 saddlebag set is constructed of RF welded 22oz. vinyl that guarantees 100% waterproof performance even when submerged. The D20 also features a rigid core construction that allows the bags to retain their shape even when empty and makes packing and unpacking super easy.
Unlike all other saddlebags, the D20’s interchangeable center strap is the core innovation that allows the bags to be so versatile. The bags mount directly to a bike with or
without sideracks and can attach directly to other D-Series dry bags. Use the Velcro center strap for convenience, the solid nylon strap for extremely muddy conditions, or remove the center strap all together to mount the bags directly to a D28 or D38 dry bag. Mounting the D20 saddlebags to the D28 or D38 dry bag is the ideal solution for riders who want the extra storage but are unable to mount traditional saddlebags due to high exhausts. If you're looking to protect your soft luggage and straps from coming in contact with the hot exhaust you can purchase the DrySpec Universal Exhaust Heat Shield For 4" To 6" Mufflers.

- Modular packing (mates with D28 and D38)

However, the straps used to hang them from the bike are merely friction buckles, and if they should slip or break, your bags will fall off your bike or hang down onto your rear tire (as happened to me).
This (photo) happened 500km into a 11500km unsupported solo trip with no warning or obvious problem with the straps. What you are seeing are the huge holes ground into the bags (and my gear) by my rear tire as the bags hung down off my seat by one remaining strap for dozens of km before I noticed. Unfortunately I cannot provide any post-mortem “why did this fail” because the straps/buckles that failed were torn off by the rear tire and are long gone. I’m glad my bike wasn’t damaged.
I patched the holes in the PVC with Gorilla Tape and securely sewed together what straps remained so they would hold my gear and not fall off again. The bags are, of course, no longer waterproof. I nevertheless relied on these bags for the rest of the trip, despite the fact that they're no longer adjustable or waterproof. I would have given them five stars if they hadn't failed.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend these bags until the friction buckle suspension system is replaced or augmented with a fail-safe so that if a buckle breaks or strap slips, the bags will not fall off the bike or into the tire. (Posted on 9/6/2019) - Review by Guest

I decided on these D20 in combination with the D32, which really worked great for my bike. I took off the handles for the passenger seat and just put the directly over the duo seat. I put some tape on the fairing to protect it from scratching. And the straps allowed for a very firm mount. (Posted on 2/14/2018) - Review by Guest

They fit the Bonneville with Triumph pannier rails right out of the box.
The cross straps were too short for the wide GSA. I purchased some webbing and made longer cross straps. I tested offroad without incident (though I didn't drop the bike on that particular outing). (Posted on 10/30/2017) - Review by Guest

Only complaint, and it's not a big one, it's a bit of a hassle to take them off and on. (Posted on 6/7/2017) - Review by Guest
