This is a great bag. I have had it for a few years and it has never let me down. The ONLY downside is the top opening. The design ends up with a very narrow opening, not the full width of the bag, and also a tight narrow slit type opening. So you can't put anything in it of any size. For example you have to push a loose sleeping bag into it a little at a time. the opening will not allow a pre-stuffed stuff bag inside. So you will have to put in each article separately. The upside is I have never had one leak. the bag fastening system is very good and sound, never lost a strap, much less a bag. A have the 25L companion bag which I fasten on top regularly for my tent and longer items which won't fit into teh 38L. (Posted on 1/7/2019)

Very well made. Complete with all the necessary tiedowns. And holds more than I had estimated. The only negative is the opening is a little too small to easily place you clothing items. A 'wide mouth' version with the waterproof roll down closure would make this the very best carrier on the market. (Posted on 9/11/2018)

I just got back from a 6000 mile trip. The bag is great. I am going to buy the smaller bag to go with it. (Posted on 7/29/2018)

Love this bag, it is not black inside thus easier to find what you are looking for. I also like the attachment loops on the sides. The best feature is the rigid side and bottom. The bag does not sag off your luggage rack. I do think that it is about $50 overpriced though. (Posted on 4/25/2018)

Very modular design. use one or more mission specific. Gear stays dry. Bags hold tight. Slim design lets bike go places larger bags prohibit. (Posted on 7/27/2017)

Bag attaches easily to bike and stays put, it is waterproof, and it is very convenient to use. Twisted Throttle got the bag to me fast - so helpful of them to expedite it. (Posted on 7/1/2017)

Very light, easy to set-up and good ergonomics for this waterproof bag. The ability to remain rigid even when empty is amazing, it makes it easy to use and fit to any type of carrier frame shape and size. I recommand this product; besides it looks very good on the bike ! (Posted on 5/24/2017)

Great bag. Exactly what it is supposed to be. 100% waterproof and VERY VERY easy to install and/or remove when you're done riding. 10/10 would buy again....wait who am I kidding. I now own the whole setup. (Posted on 5/10/2017)

Excellent build quality but the design is flawed. The small opening makes it awkward to put things in the bag. Also with not much force the right side of the opening ripped. Seemed very fragile almost like it was fired out and brittle. (Posted on 2/19/2017)

this is simply a great bag. It is a little expensive (profit margins must me huge on this) but it is simply a great bag. I used it for a 5 weeks trip through most of Europe, doing over 8000 km with it, getting in on and of off the bike daily. And it proved to be a very sturdy and 100% waterproof bag that even looks great (orange on a KTM 1190 Adventure R)
The only downside besides the price is the smaller opening of the bag, but that never stopped me from being glad that everything was dry even after the heaviest downpour I ever experienced (Posted on 9/27/2016)

Just returned from an 11 day trip with this bag mounted across the rear seat on my BMW R1200rs. The bag was everything I hoped for and more. The mounting system is easy, quick on and off, and secure. It holds it's shape so I could remove only what I needed and leave the rest in the bag and on the bike. I attached a Kriega 20 on top and a Kermit chair in between and nothing ever moved. On the R1200rs it is a perfect width so I can access my panniers without loosening the DrySpec Bag. The inner liner that holds the bag's shape also makes it super easy to load/unload and organize the load so it holds more than a similar soft dry bag. (Posted on 7/27/2016)

I do some camping and put on about 15,000 miles a year on two wheels and was tired of my stuff being wet. No more. It's a little hard loading it at times but I love it. (Posted on 5/30/2016)

Recent purchase - only used 2X so far on dry rides. Seems overpriced for thickness of materials. Not completely rigid - plastic liner will flex under load, so check clearance on fenders and saddlebags to avoid paint damage if bag is not fully supported by a rack or seat.
Holds a week's worth of big and tall man clothes - pack corners first due to narrow opening. Loop straps work well on a FLHP rack for long rides, but bungees are more convenient if you need to remove quickly and/or frequently.
Only gave (3) stars due to price, flex under load, and yet TBD durability. (Posted on 11/19/2015)

I bought this as a tail bag so I can remove my side cases around town and for touring. Compares very well to the competition and is large enough to stash all of my riding gear. It is well made and appears very durable. Fitting it to the bike takes a little trial and error but it is a simple process. My only complaint is the same as other reviewers, the opening is way too small. Yes I can fit my full face helmet inside but the opening makes it a bit of a struggle, especially if the bag is already partially full. Twisted Throttle, you have a great product here, but you lose a star due to the small opening. That said, would I buy it again? Yes. I may even add the side bags as an alternative to my hard cases. I bought the orange colored dry bag and I took it with me on my fall trip to Deals Gap this year. Very easy to attach to the rear of my FJR1300. It holds a lot of clothes and other equipment. I am very satisfied with this purchased. I may get one of the medium sized dry bags to attach to the top of this large bag.
The bag is waterproof and will keep your items dry. Highly recommend this item for anyone traveling. (Posted on 1/6/2015)

Sold my Givi hard bags and bought this as part of the D78 set. I love this bag, the size is perfect for most things. Yes the opening is a little tight due to the nature of the bag and the limitations that the bag stiffening insert create, but it is very manageable if you load the ends first with smaller items. It is stiff enough that it can be strapped to the rear pillion seat without the need for a rear rack. I leave this one attached most of the time as I commute to work 5 days a week rain or shine and it makes the perfect trunk, if I happen to stop in a place that i don't want to leave it behind then it is much nicer to carry around as a duffel than a hard case would be. The majority of my use is daily commute including 50 miles and a ferry ride salt spray and all, but it also gets some sport touring and adventure rides. (Posted on 11/12/2014)

I rode the Colorado back country discovery route late july. This bag sustained some punishment. We got stuck in nearly 18 hours of torrential down pour and not one leak into the bag. I held a tent, sleeping bag, my cozy liner, little pillow, sleeping pad, little chair, camp towel and toiletries for 8 days in this sucker and nothing got wet! The only issue I had the bag was that one of the pockets came off and the other is starting too peel off as well. The guys at twisted offered to replace the bag at no charge, i declined due to the inability to use said pocket when the bag is stuffed to the gills. I also enjoyed the mounting system that came with the bag simple easy it was nice to free up my other straps for hauling wood and beverages during the trip. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a streamline waterproof bag. (Posted on 8/14/2014)

Purchased specifically for 6k trip to South Dakota and the midwest. Though not a tremendous amount of rain, it keeps all dry when it does pour. As mentioned before, really is a puzzle at times to pack this bag. The opening is narrower and shorter than the bag so hard to get items in the corners.
Would be an easy 5 star rating except no directions with the straps. We never did figure out their loop system and used Kreiga straps and rope to secure it. Even googled the issue but did not come across the strap system. (Posted on 8/13/2014)

I bought this bag before my trip and it really worked well. There were times I thought it too big but it fit really well on the back of my 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere ES. The side pockets are to small for anything other than a card. I was very concerned about the mounting strap system but it worked very well I think that one of these mounting straps will be the first thing to break. Can replacement straps be purchased?
I never worried in the rain I knew it was water proof. I really like the side stiffener it worked very well.
The opening is a bit small causing a bit of "work" putting things in or getting them out. However I believe this helped to insure how water tight the bag is.
I purchased the Orange bag so it could be seen.
It could benefit from some reflective material/panels particularly on the ends.
It was an expensive bag but I am pleased with it. (Posted on 7/7/2014)
