I have struggled with helmet buffeting on my Harley Softail Heritage Classic. I installed lower fork wind deflectors. They helped some. I bought a taller windshield that winged forward at the top. It helped some. I tried the Laminar Lip. It was a pain in the butt to adjust and, although it helped some, it didn't solve the problem. I even tried different helmets. No matter what, once I exceeded 55 mph, the buffeting would start up and my ride experience would become miserable. Then I bought this product. Since I had two windshields, I bought the bolt on version and mounted it to my OEM windshield. All I can say is WOW! PROBLEM SOLVED 100%. Seriously. I played a bit with it to find the best position and now I ride in a serene bubble. I can read signs. I can hear the music through my blue tooth. Most of all, after riding for several hours, I feel great. Not that beat up feeling I had before. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. (Posted on 6/18/2016)

Bought this to eliminate head buffeting from a sport touring "touring" screen. Product is robust and eliminates most, but not all, of the unwanted air flow. Installation was easy, helped greatly by the online MRA installation video.
Overall, I'm pleased with its performance.

Ordering experience was great ! Was told upfront that the product was back ordered, why, and was given an ETA for delivery. I received it a few days earlier than expected. (Posted on 5/23/2016)

I'm 6'1"" and find the stock screen on my Ducati mts1200s too low and noisy. I tried the smaller clamp on variable spoiler blade which helped but it was still noisy. This taller touring spoiler blade takes the wind off my shoulders and helmet and it's quieter. it was easy to install with the drilling template and the quality of the materials is impressive. It looks great! (Posted on 5/14/2016)

Installation was quick and easy, thanks to the included self-adhesive template. I've only taken it on a couple rides, but it seems sturdy and well built. Adjusting the height and angle is quick and easy as well. It would be nice if the X-creen was mounted a little closer to the original screen though. There is about a 3 inch space between the two screens where plenty of air still comes through instead of being deflected. (Posted on 5/7/2016)

I'm 6'4" and the stock screen on my Moto Guzzi Stelvio didn't keep the wind from hitting me in the face.

The MRA X-creen is a big improvement. The wind now hits the just top of my helmet, but overall its much quieter and more comfortable. (Posted on 4/27/2016)

After waiting a few weeks for the Tour screen to arrive, it finally arrived. I was eager to install it and see how much of an improvement it would make over the standard screen. The instructions were fairly easy to follow. The installation was straight forward and easy to do - about 20 mins start to finish. The 6mm drill is equivalent to 15/64 drill.
Test drive - WoW - what a difference the tour screen makes! Super quiet air in the cockpit. No more head buffeting and neck strain. The flexibility of positioning the screen is easy to do.
At 6'2" tall on the stock seat in low with airhawk R seat the air flow was at least a couple of inches above my head with the screen in the highest position.
After a 2 hour ride at low and hi speed riding I am super happy with my purchase. (Posted on 4/22/2016)

Just installed this on my 06 Harley Roadglide. Your video and the template included with the shield made installation a breeze. The quality of the unit seems to be typical of German products, excellent. I took a short ride with the shield installed and boy, what a difference. With the old windshield (I have tried several) my glasses would bounce on my face and there was buffeting on my helmet. Now I ride in a quiet bubble of air with just a slight breeze but very smooth and comfortable and the radio is much easier to hear. (Posted on 4/5/2016)

We all know how the stock bmw gsa windscreen doesn't cut the wind especially on the highway. Lots of buffeting and noise. I decided to try the MRA X-creek since I didn't want to go through the hassle of a complete windscreen changout.

I ordered the bolt on MRA, so there was a little assembly of the adjustable arms that hold the screen, but it was fairly easy to assemble. I followed the drilling template for the hole layout and made sure it would be in the right spot before I drilled. With that being said, I do wish I would have kept the screen about an inch lower. Fully extended, the bottom of the MRA sits a little above the top of my stock windscreen. Not a big deal. I'm fairly tall 6'2 so it's still about 2 inches below my eyeline in the extended position.

Taking it out for a test run and in its fully extended position in must say that I really noticed how calm the wind was on and around my helmet. The buffeting was reduced about 80% and the wind noise is down considerably as well. I like the adjustability as I do ride off road a lot and when I do this screen will drop down to allow me to see the road better. And when I get back on the superslab, up it goes for a nice comfortable blast home. I heard the rumors of it dropping down on some people at speeds over 100 mph. I had it up to 80 and it was very stable. It would take some serious speed and gale force winds to collapse this thing. I'm keeping it! (Posted on 1/21/2016)

Out of the box, setup looks very complicated. It's not too bad once you get started. It's a bit expensive for what you get. Works to reduce the buffet which was hitting me in the forehead off my MRA windshield on my 2013 Triumph Tiger Explorer. It lost one star in my opinion for the high price and one more because the transparency is not 100% optically correct. I have the clear one and it's harder to read signs through it, especially at night. If you could normally read a sign at 200 yards, you can now read it at about 125 yards of looking through the screen, which bugs me a lot. I'm thinking I'll keep it folded away at night and deal with the wind because I hate trying to look through it with reduced (albeit very slightly) visibility, especially because the edges are right where I want to look most to see and avoid deer, which is impossible with the wind screen extended. Also, I hit some thick fog unexpectedly and this wind screen extension became severely, severely fogged up, I could not see anything through it whatsoever, which was extremely disconcerting. Works as advertised. Reduces wind noise and turbulence by at least 80 percent. I'm 6'4 and the stock windscreen on my 2015 BMW f800gs was a bit short. Probably my best investment in aftermarket parts so far.
Arrived in perfect order in a timely fashion. I appreciate the online order tracking. I recommend Twisted Throttle to all my club members. (Posted on 1/14/2016)

It is a well made product, but a lot of windshields will not tolerate a drilled mount without the windshield cracking. And that is exactly happened to my windshield. The pressure of the mounting brackets caused multiple cracks. The solution is to order this item with the clamp-type mounts. I would not recommend this product with the drilled mounts. Totally transformed my ADV bike into a quiet, pleasant ride. I have a great bike, a Moto Guzzi Stelvio. It has a stock large screen. But it's pretty loud in all positions, a common complaint about many ADV bikes. Taller windscreens looked ugly, and I'd read that spoiler screens like these were more effective. A friend with a Stelvio got the touring screen, but noted it's a little awkwardly big for the Stelvio (however, he also noted that he now has a pocket of silence and can listen to his music on earbuds while he rides). Guzzi has a wind tunnel at the factory, and perhaps as a result the screens they put out (e.g., like on the Norge too) are thinner at the top. That leaves less room for a spoiler to clamp to. For that reason, I'm glad I went with the sport screen. It should be noted that the tour screen works too, it just looks big. I'm 5'11" with a long torso, and the sport screen works great. I experimented with many different positions, but ended up putting it slightly more vertical than the stock screen and almost straight up for extra height. That's what works for me, but the great thing about these spoilers is they are extremely adjustable. The instructions were translated from German and not easy to understand, which is why Twisted Throttle's videos were so helpful. The screen and mounts are high quality and durable. I highly recommend this product. It transformed my bike into a quieter, nicer place to be. (Posted on 11/6/2015)

I also use Convertibars so I am placed a bit higher that the average rider. I still have some buffeting but understand that is because of the Convertibars. I previously was using the Sport Spoiler (rather than the Touring Spoiler) and found it somewhat helpful. As a note, in the full tucked in position, the Touring Spoiler shoots a nice "clean" blast of air which has no buffeting and is great on warmer days. (Posted on 10/26/2015)

I bought a MRA X-creen Touring for my BMW K100LT to see whether it could reduce the turbulence that buffeted my helmet at speed. I tried it in many different positions, at different angles of attack, and at different distances away from the screen itself. Despite lots of frustration, I could not achieve the result I wanted.

A couple of years later I purchased a BMW K1200RS and after fitting handlebar risers I discovered that I needed more protection. I removed the MRA from the other bike and fixed it to the 1200RS, but really did not hope for much after the disappointment with it on the LT. This meant that the first ride with it on the 1200RS really knocked me sideways; it was a revelation with much improved wind protection and buffeting reduced by a huge extent.

From my experience I conclude that the results depend very much on the aerodynamics of an individual bike. You may be unlucky as I was with my LT, or you may be fortunate to find that it does exactly what you need it to do.

However, it is a well-made piece of kit and it looks as though it will last a long time. It ought to be decently engineered when one considers the price. (Posted on 9/20/2015)

This is my second spoiler. Both worked well, but this one has simplified and more effective locking devices. The wind is forced into a slot which accelerates it and changes its path, so that it goes up over my helmet instead of hitting me at nose level. I don't mind some wind pressure as long as it is steady and not turbulent, and that is what the spoiler does. Takes a bit of fiddling to get it adjusted optimum. When I first saw it, I did not think it would work on my little BMW R1100 gs windscreen but it did. (Posted on 9/4/2015)

I installed a MRA X-creen on my Triumph Tiger 1050. I attached it to a Givi windsceen and it has been a great addition. With a little adjusting it has made it possible to eliminate turbulence that would buffet my helmet at highway speeds. This visor has also lowered the amount of wind noise making it much easier to hear my intercom. I have put about 1000 miles on it and it seems to be holding up good. (Posted on 7/17/2015)

I purchased the MRA X-creen just prior to my first long trip out west. I planned on riding at least 4 days and much of that time would be at 65mph+ on freeways or interstates. I have a 2009 G650GS. I added the factory 'tall' windscreen but it is not high enough to divert the windblast up and over my helmet.
My friend and I installed the permanent version of the screen in less than 30 minutes. A drill and 2 or 3 bits + a step bit and a Phillips head and allen wrench are all that are needed. We first installed all the hardware on the windscreen and then mock mounted it to the BMW windscreen. Happy with how/where it would sit we applied the provided template and drilled the required holes.
This design is nearly infinitely adjustable for height and angle and did a good job of deflecting the wind on my long road trip.
If you have a bike with a short windscreen or need to get the air up higher when at speed I would recommend this product. (Posted on 6/12/2015)

Put this on my '08 Bandit 1250... A great reduction of wind noise and buffeting has raised the pleasure level of my riding by reducing both the mental and physical fatigue from being battered by the wind. Of all the modifications I have done to my bike, this screen has delivered the most "bang for the buck". Also, I want to thank the "booth crew" that was at Daytona for treatment well beyond what I expected and made my Twisted Throttle experience a highlight of my Bike-week. Great product...great company...! (Posted on 3/30/2015)

I installed a tall windscreen on my recently purchased 07 bandit 1250 for greater wind protection only to discover that the wind coming over the screen was now so loud that I decided to stop ridding the bike till I could reinstall my stock screen. I was thinking I had wasted $220 on the new screen until I ordered and installed the MRA Xceen. Wow! It saved my new screen from extinction in the attic and made my ride quit as a church mouse. What a great product! It's a little intimidating when you first open the package and see all the little parts that have to come together for the adjustabilty feature but the instructions are simple and easy to follow. It was up ready to test in about 20 minutes. I had seriously been considering another bike before I bought the Xcreen. Glad I didn't. The Bandit 1250 is an awesome bike and the Xcreen made it quiet enough to enjoy for hours on end. (Posted on 11/12/2014)

The stock windscreen did a great job of directing the wind right in my face. Changed screens and installed a taller ZTechnik Touring Screen but still had issues. Installed the MRA X-creen and now can ride with my helmet shield up. Installed with extensions adjusted one click below halfway. Airflow now hits the vents at the top of my helmet. No more neck fatigue on long rides. Performs great at high speeds too. Installation template worked good and there was no need to remove the screen for installation. (Posted on 11/8/2014)

Installed the MRA x-screen on a 2014 BMW R1200 GS. I drilled the mounting holes slightly in from the actual template to give the windscreen the same "arc" as the stock windshield. The screen makes an unbelievable difference in the wind dynamics on my helmet. I am 6'7'', so the additional height was just what was needed. Very good quality too! HIGHLY recommended if you are going to spend some hours at high speed.///then just drop down for town and off road riding. (Posted on 10/31/2014)

I installed the screen on my 2011 r1200gs hoping to quiet the wind and control the buffeting. The angle on the stock windscreen is fairly severe at the attachment point. The MRA screen has angle adjustment to mount without any modification. The adjustment once attached to the BMW windscreen is impressive. I played with the angles until I got it just where I wanted it. It does almost eliminate buffeting but there is still some wind noise. While riding highways, I adjust the MRA screen up and on an angle. While on a 50 mile dirt adventure, I put the screen all the way down for better visibility. Nice addition to longer more comfortable rides. (Posted on 10/28/2014)

Prior to purchasing this extender, I tried installing a taller windshield on my R1200 GSA, and found that the new windshield had numerous issues. I looked for more windscreens, and found that most of them also had similar issues.
I came upon the xCreen during a web search, and was intrigued by the way that you can mount it permanently, while also allowing for adjustments to be made to accommodate different riding modes and styles.
I installed the xCreen, and found that it was easy to install, worked exactly as advertised, and provided the flexibility and adjustability that I need as I change from street to dirt riding.
It was a pleasure to find a product that is so good that it exceeds any and all expectations that I might have had for it.

I bought this to add to a Cee Bailey commuter windshield mounted on a 09 KLR. The Cee Bailey ended up being a couple of inches short and I was still getting buffeting at hwy speeds. The MRA X screen did what I wanted it to do, no more buffeting. I ended up getting the clamp that allows me to remove it if I want or put it on other bikes. Only problem is they don't seem to be remain in stock for long. I initially ordered the smoke colored one but it was to dark for me. Returned without a problem because I had not opened the envelope the screen was in however it was kinda translucent which allow me to recognize it was to dark. Installed with just the clip-on assembly initially since I didnt want to poke holes in my windshield. Looks good, works well below 60mph. Above 60mph, the wind load is too much for the unit and it just flattens out back against the OEM windshield. It ends up matching the streamlines of the original windshield so it does about zero good for highway riding (which is 90% of why you would buy this). seeking refund (Posted on 7/23/2014)

I have a windshield fetish. I have spent a fortune on windshields for bikes. I know what I want in performance. I like a quiet ride with as little turbulence as possible. Easy to do for riders that ride under 60 mph and out of traffic and side winds. Not easy at 75 mph+ cruising with big trucks and side winds.
I recently changed windshields again on my '12 DL 650. I bought the tallest screen they had but found it a bit short for quiet riding. Turbulence was low at speed, but just too much air on my helmet. Bought and installed the MRA X-creen touring version. What an improvement! I can get the height I want, or lay it down to get air on my screen to keep rain off the visor. Take some time to work with all the adjustments. To my surprise I found the screen worked better for me without the dog-bone extensions as it keeps the screen closer when near vertical. With my other aero devices I have this V Strom as quiet and smooth as my RT. That is most welcome on 800+ mile days. (Posted on 7/7/2014)
