Just got back from a 1250 mile 4 day trip with this case mounted to my 2015 Bonneville. Pouring rain for first 300 miles and everything inside was bone dry at the end of the day. Holds plenty of gear, but watch the weight limit it's only around 6-7 pounds probably due to the plastic mounting plate. Keep the lock clean and lubed, too, or it gets a bit testy. Overall a great trunk! (Posted on 7/1/2018)

The quality of this top case is amazing and it's the perfect size for a full face helmet and a jacket. Only thing is the bungee that was suppose to come with the case was missing from the box. (Posted on 7/31/2017)

Nice looking topcase with top rack but bottom mounting plate is useless for the BMW F650/800GS 08+, Mounting rack holes are too wide for existing F650GS rear rack bolt pattern. You will need another platform to anchor the existing supplied plate onto, so I'm using my existing plate until I fabricate more permanent one. Also, the locking mechanism to secure plate to box has play so it won't sit tight when locked which allows the rear of the top case to move up and down at least 1/8". I don't see any place for adjustment? Not sure how to secure it tighter unless I fabricate something else to take up the slack between the locking plate and the case. I'm afraid if I leave it as is riding over rough terrain like a forest road this case will work it's way loose and fall off. Was expecting better! According to supplied instructions and materials list there was supposed to be a bungie cord of some sort for the top rack, it wasn't included. Not sure it was deleted or an oversight. Simple easy install on my '13 KLR. Drill 4 small holes in my rear plate and that was it. Solid and secure. Big enough to store my laptop and backpack or my Battlecsar helmet (lying on its side with my comm's removed) with room left over. This is my second Shad case, an upgrade from the SH-33. Previous case broke at the hinges. Construction looks similar but time will tell. Keep the supports that protect from over opening in good shape! (Posted on 12/19/2016)

I've had one on my all-weather commuting bike for three years. It's the perfect size (passes the 12-pack of IPA test easily) and the expansion rack on top has been used a bunch when the main compartment is full of the aforementioned IPA.
Just bought a naked SV650, first mod is a SH-40 to make it a commuter. (Posted on 4/28/2016)

Looks great on my Triumph Tiger, mounts securely and easy to remove. Installation was tricky because none of the holes/slots in the base plate matched the bike, which called for drilling and creativity. (Posted on 2/18/2016)

The bottom of my case ripped open just above the front keys the insert into the mount plate. Had the case for more than a year with a bunch of miles, so I would use a bungi cord to secure the front of the case. Then put a bunch more miles on it. Still it was waterproof, which was my main concern since I was traveling SE Asia. So, if you travel on nice roads, it might last forever. If your are like me and like to go where angels fear to tread, upgrade. (Posted on 2/3/2016)

I bought this about a month ago for my 03 Vstrom 1000. The price is right and it installs easily. I am very pleased with it so far. Spacious and functions very well. (Posted on 4/14/2015)

I bought this specifically because of the top rack. I needed the ability to strap a set of trecking poles that even colapsed were still too long to fit inside a case. This case stood out among the others due to this feature. The case comes with a universal mount that has hardware to easily attach to tube stock or a flat rear platform (drilling may be required). I have Suzuki V-Strom 650 that has a flat rear platform and I had to drill two holes but was able to use the included tube brackets for the other two.

I have used the case for about a month and it works well. It easily holds a full face helmet but it's a squeze to also fit gloves and a jacket. I wanted it to be as small as possible and still hold the basics and for this it works well. (Posted on 10/16/2014)
